Oslo Public Library, Majorstuen — Attraction in Oslo

Norwegians call this a small library. I think it's huge by Sydney and Canberra standards.

There are many different sections where you can sit with a book or magazine or I guess, your own study material. It has a very, very nice ambience and the bare wood-looking floor gives it a fresh, clean Scandinavian feel.

There are special areas for children that are enormous. You can also borrow videos or order in material from related libraries. The staff are super helpful.

I highly recommend for parents especially in winter time. Many books for children and a nice place for them to read, it's part of our weekend program. The library is quite small and is impossible to concentrate since there is a "children area" inside the library. Of course the kids are screaming all the time and you can not even focus. Only if you go around 20 to 22 the library is quiet and you can concentrate in your stuff. Better go to...
