This is not my first visit to Samiria but I was disappointed to see how the owners have not kept up with maintenance. Our room, family suite on the 7th floor of the second tower FLOODED! We requested a change of room 4 times until the general manager finally came to our room with a very rude and condescending answer telling me the hard rain was unusual for the area. I was born and raised in Iquitos, I know how hard rain gets down there! We were given a new smaller suite, this one didn't have a working air conditioner which was an inconvenience given the fact there were 5 of us in one room, they gave us an old fan which broke when we changed the speed. I complained again! This time the night supervisor came to our rescue! He was so nice and made sure we were given a room with working AC, thank you Christian! My main complain about this hotel is the lack of maintenance of the facility (elevator was dirty, elevator windows and second tower windows were dirty too) The whole second tower flooded from the 7th to the first floor. What this hotel is doing right is having great staff! The morning and night supervisors, the waiters and bartenders were all really nice and prompt with our requests, greeted us every day and made sure we were having a good stay post flood incident (with the exception of the general manager) Unfortunately, this is the last time we stay at Samiria unless the owners put some money back to make sure the maintenance of the buildings are well kept. It's unacceptable that a hotel room floods, none of the windows had silicone filling on the seams! And water from the rain was also seeping thru the ceiling, see pictures. They new a new general manager and I would recommend they give Christian a promotion. He was always running around making sure we and other guests had a good stay (the hotel was full during our 7 day stay) their restaurant is really good too and has great food.

For Peru its a fairly good hotel. Stayed in 2024 and 2025. Easy to check in. Noise is not so bad inside. The pool area does play music at night which you can hear probably from all the rooms. It was not that loud when I was there but only one group of people there by the pool. The last night I stayed I could hear people through the fittings on the wall by the bed. It was really strange as the sound travels through the walls. Take earplugs if your sensitive to sound. Privacy is great. The breakfast buffet was great and fresh food. Would be nice if the buffet had more chicken options rather then pork and meat. The food I've ordered here has also been clean and good in the evenings. No issues. The Internet was very poor. It was below standard and really bad. I had some work to finish and I could not get it done online. Try blamed it on the rain but it rains a lot here so that should be fixed. Staff are friendly. Rooms are clean and nice. The Aircon is new and good but I could not change the settings so had to ask for a blanket. Hot shower if you turn the knob to the left and let it run for a bit. Check out at 12. Very nice local paintings.

We stayed at the samiria hotel both before and after a 3 day trip into the Amazon. The first night we had dinner there as well the food was poor and not fresh at all. There was no hot water in our room which we decided not to complain about that it may have just been our room. ||The second time we stayed there again there was no hot water, after 4 days without a hot shower we were in desperate need, my husband informed the front desk and someone came to look at it 30mins later, he was on the phone the whole time but told us nothing we waited another 30mins before trying it again still no hot water!! The bathroom roof also had mildew and drops of water along a crack in the roof clearly from the bathroom in the room above ours as it was not condensation from the hot shower!!! After another hour and complaining twice more we were finally moved to another room which did have hot water but no towels! ||The majority of the staff looked like they didn’t want to be there and that we were more pests than guest, the bar tender at the pool was the most friendly and 1 of the front desk females.||The information in our room said that we could exchange money at the front desk but we were told we couldn’t when we tried to the first time and was given an exchange reluctantly the second time. ||Breakfast was very basic, not what you expect from 4 stars. ||The whole place was over priced and rundown just like the...
