A really excellent museum on the various current and past Amazonian indigenous tribes. I spent over two hours there, which I didn't expect from its size in the beginning. The explanations to the displays are provided both in Spanish and English (pretty flawless English actually), and contain incredibly detailed descriptions of rituals and other traditions. Every one of the cultures had an interesting fact about them - I was tired towards the end and wanted to just quickly skim through the rest, but it just wasn't possible, too intriguing :) I strongly recommend...
Read moreIt’s small. It’s in a two floor house. It’s not like any modern elegant museum. But this is one of the most impressive small museums I have ever visited. I did not plan to spent much time there but ended with three hours. It’s interesting to go through EVERY piece of information displayed there. A true museum in the sense that teaches me something if not everything about the people have lived in the Amazon...

But the last time I was there it was so disappointing there was hardly any light it was so dark. We could hardly read the information about the exhibits or see the things that were being sold.
