The market is one you’d expect from a far flung island destination. You see fishermen bringing their catch at about 7 AM and they come and go. We’d wait for a good catch, and ask for the restaurant that can cook for you. At about 200 pesos a dish, they’ll cook it simple and nice. Just make sure you buy the veggies and condiments from the stall close by. I’ll post some photos of Tita who said yes to have our fish, shrimp, crab cooked for us. Just show a photo of sauteed or fried in case of communication probs….. we had to buy fresh fish and tons of veggies because we’re traveling with the old folks . They need low sodium fish diet….oh, and that stall we found is the oldest food vendor there. It’s not a glamorous stall but you buy all the ingredients (even oil) from a stall next to it and you know you’re getting the good stuff. He can also roast baby eggplants and fish. We are happy we found a great deal here and my parents are happy. No stomach issues. We are...

I really love exploring wet markets and this place is no exception. I knew I would find and learn a lot of new fish here and I did!

I suggest buying your pasalubong cashews here if you only want the plain ones. It's a bit cheaper than Melb's :) you can also buy dried fish here! They wrap it already in paper and packaging tape and make a cute bag with a handle with it ♡

The reason I rated it low was because the yero ceiling was so freaking low. It offered to insulated whatsoever from the heat. It felt like a sauna. The local government should fix it because the vendors and visitors are prone to heat stroke in that...

A place of good commerce, fresh catch from the sea, local products and wonderful native people. The market gives you a feel of simple life in Coron, and the amity of locals.

You can buy a variety of goods, from fish, fruits, vegetables, native delicacies and yes, Cashew! Coron has a special recipe of roasted and flavored cashew nuts.

People in the market are honest and fair, never abusive of their guests. There are also indigenous people selling shells and sea weeds who are very friendly, gentle and kind.

(Sharing the dishes we prepared out of the products we bought from...
