My recent visit to Inasal Eats in Coron, Palawan, was unfortunately a frustrating and disappointing experience, primarily due to issues with cleanliness and extremely poor customer service.

Cleanliness: The restaurant appeared dirty, with tables left uncleaned from previous customers.

Customer Service (Cashier): The most significant issue encountered was the rude behavior of the cashier.

When placing a takeout order, I was informed she lacked exact change for a 4-peso difference. She presented a 5-peso coin and asked if I had 1 peso. Upon my reply that I had no coins, she abruptly turned away without a word and began packing condiments.

After waiting for approximately a minute, I had to prompt her about my change, at which point she irritatingly stated I just get the 5-peso coin.

Following another 5-minute wait, I observed her placing a takeout bag on the cashier table without any attempt to call out for the customer or indicate it was an order. As there was only 1 customer other than me at the time, I approached and inquired if it was my order, to which she said yes. If i didn’t ask i would have waited longer.

Summary: The combination of an unkempt dining area and the consistently rude and unhelpful attitude of the cashier made for a truly frustrating visit. This level of service is unacceptable and significantly detracts from the...

I had a really disappointing experience here. The cashier was very rude and got my order wrong. She seemed irritated from the start — almost annoyed that customers were ordering while it was getting busy. When we said we’d dine in since a table was clearing up, she cleared the plates but didn’t bother to wipe the table, which still had soy sauce and oil all over it.

She also didn’t show any patience toward people unfamiliar with the menu, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. To make things worse, she took my order wrong, and instead of clarifying or communicating, she just gave me two pork BBQ orders when I explicitly said 1 paa and two pork bbq orders. And this order took 30 mins to get ready.

On top of that, there were no cutleries in the holder, no avaialble napkins, no water in the dispenser, and the food was just okay. Whenever someone ordered take out, she also said they had no cutleries for them, and gave them the food in a plastic bag. Overall, the service and lack of care really ruined the experience for me...

The food here is genuinely great—I really enjoyed the flavors and presentation, and I would recommend trying it out for the quality of the dishes alone. However, the experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the service. The FEMALE CASHIER/SERVER (frowning upon approaching us) was noticeably rude and unprofessional throughout our visit. She was pushy about what we should order, dismissing our choices and not giving us the chance to properly look through the menu.

There was a clear lack of basic customer service—she avoided eye contact, seemed distracted (often on her phone), and had an overall bad attitude. It felt like she didn’t want to be there and didn’t care about our experience as customers.

While I’d love to return for the food, I hope the management takes note of the service issues. A better dining experience involves not just good food but also respectful and...

was planning to dine here for lunch before heading to the airport — I’d read so many reviews saying the food is great, but also that the customer service is terrible. Unfortunately, I experienced exactly that. Since I was short on time, I decided to order takeout instead. The staff, especially the lady in red, were cold and visibly irritated. My meal was just handed to me in a plain transparent plastic, and when I politely asked for a spoon and fork or even a plate, I was bluntly told “wala” (meaning “none”). Ironically, there was a stack of paper plates right under their table, which they only gave after I pointed it out. The food might be good, but zero customer service ruins the whole experience. I genuinely hope the owner addresses this — because great food deserves equally great hospitality.

We had our first dinner in Coron at Inasal Eats. The menu was quite limited, so we ordered the Chicken Inasal (Paa) and Batchoy. The food was good, nothing super special, but tasty enough. I did find the prices quite expensive for the serving size, especially compared to the OG Mang Inasal 😕 What really stood out (in a bad way) was the hygiene. The washing area/sink was really dirty, with old food chunks still sitting there. It didn’t help that the utensils, sauces and water dispenser were placed right next to it, which felt unhygienic. Some of the utensils still had food residue, so I ended up soaking mine in hot water twice before using them. Overall, decent food, but they seriously need to improve cleanliness. Wouldn’t mind coming back if they cleaned up the place a bit 😊
