Found this restaurant through trough TripAdvisor, and I wasn't disappointed.
I had the nido soup, pancit bihon, calamares and halo halo for dessert. Prices were lower than on the main road and quality better than what I've eaten on the island so far.
The place is small but comfortable with air-conditioning. I lucked out and it wasn't busy so I got served right away and the food came within 10 minutes.
Don't expect too much when it comes to good service, however. One has to prod the service staff to pretty much do what they should instinctively be doing, such as greeting, sitting the customer, and handing the menu right away without having to ask for it, instead of texting on the cell phone the entire time. But this is no different elsewhere in this category.

Read moreAvoid. Came here based on the reviews and can genuinely say it was not a good choice. The food was pretty abysmal (they also bought our meals through the front door so not sure where they were cooked, but definitely wasn’t on site). There was absolutely no atmosphere (just the staff playing videos through their phones) and just didn’t deliver on any of our expectations to be honest. We also didn’t find the staff friendly in the slightest. We are absolutely by no means high-end travellers & we try and do local, well-priced food wherever we can, so trust me when I say this place is not the go-to for a good meal in Coron.
I appreciate this could have just been our experience, but wanted to leave a very honest review...

Service is a bit slow — but it’s usually busy and full of locals. The food gets delivered from their own kitchen in a separate building, but arrives with their own lids on the dishes so it’s hygienic.
Value for money is really good in central Coron, we ordered the Pancit Mix (with chicken), Shanghai with rice, and the Tapsilog. All very tasty but definitely reccomend the Pancit Mix!
For those worried about food poisoning — it’s a concern all around el Nido & Coron. Up to you how to handle it (ie. no ice & home made ice tea) but we ate here several times with 0 issues. Nice to see all the locals come here...
