According to social media and vlogs, this is a must try. However, the place has major weaknesses. For starters, their ordering system makes no sense. It is a restaurant and not a stall, so waiting for the number to be called and get your food is quite confusing. They have enough staff to bring the food to the tables and avoid guests to stand up and get their food multiple times, also considering that the drinks counter and the food counter are in different places. There are cheaper places that offer table service. Also in Bali. Second painful note, is the use of oil. The restaurant clearly re uses oil too many times and the food (heavily fried for the most part) has a gross exhaust oil aftertaste. Which is a shame considering that the menu is interesting. Lastly, warning for all non-cilantro people out there: the food is packed with cilantro so you need to tell âno cilantroâ while ordering. I think there should be at least a warning in the menu on the presence of such spices. Usually, for example, waiters ask if guests have any food allergies etc, but since you need to order at the counter, itâs your responsibility. All considered, this is a decent restaurant with some things to adjust, but definitely not worthy...
Read morePlace is nice and ambiance is good but it was too hot to stay. Decided to grab some lunch together with friends prior going back to manila and place was too hot and there were no electric fan placed on their Al-fresco dinin given there were no moving wind in the vicinity. Serving took so long i guess we waited for an hour to get our food so I hope the owner will consider putting up ceiling fans or even stand fans for their al fresco dining if they are planning to make their customers wait for that long for their food to be served. đ
Food wise, ordered their Bagnet guling, thought it would be a bit of crispy since Babi guling in Bali is crispy but itâs okay. Serving is okay. I was hoping to taste a bit of Bali in La Union but i was disappointed.
Hoping that they can give a little bit more of balinese authenticity in their cuisine since they are promoting Balinese food.
If I would recommend it to you? Yes, I would. If I would go back again? No, unless they put up fans or improve their food.

Read moreThis place was a deception. We went there as a group, we ordered lunch a la carte so we had a good overview of the whole menu and it was very inconsistent, some dishes being okay and most being disappointing if not inedible especially "Putras's Ayam" and the "Beef Rendang", soggy, full of oil, mix of bland flavors and powerful ingredients poorly assembled. The dessert was at least original but not exceptional by any means.
On another note, the view is okay but the atmosphere doesn't make you feel cozy due to construction surrounding the whole restaurant.
The positive points were the nice staff and the coffee, which was and looked quite good.
I wished for this place to be one of the hidden gems, but after visiting many, I can confidently say it's not, and it's one of the worst culinary experience of my life. I hope they either develop the coffee side and ditch the cooking or revamp their whole recipes. Without this, this place is...
