SurfStar Elyu — Hotel in Luzon

Location and view deck are fantastic, but service needs improvement. While we loved the location and the breathtaking view deck, the overall experience was marred by the lack of proper service, especially considering that Airbnb is the hosts' sole booking platform.

Communication was minimal and impersonal, with only canned messages and no timely responses to our queries. Additionally, although a contact number was provided for issues, the hosts were unable to personally address rule violations during our stay.

An incident occurred at 2:00 AM during our stay, when Kuya "Lemon" asked me to knock on the door of noisy teenagers in the next room instead of handling the situation himself. Even more disappointing was discovering that one of the teenagers was the owner's son. As someone familiar with the property rules, he should have adhered to the quiet time policy and been considerate of other guests. Kuya "Lemon" spoke to me in a manner that was less than courteous, making it feel as though we were not paying guests. I was even asked to knock on the door and lend my phone so he could speak to the teenager, which was inappropriate and uncomfortable.

We sincerely hope the hosts address these issues, as the promise of peace and quiet amidst the vibrant atmosphere of ELYU is a key selling point. Improving communication and guest management would greatly enhance the...

Relaxing with Great Beach View

Booked our stay thru the Airnbnb site. And we are happy that they are still available despite our stay was on a holiday.

To avoid the traffic, we went an hour earlier than the check in time. Fortunately, the room was already available. I believe this was case to case basis, we were just lucky. Another good thing was we met Mylene Dizon who also gave us the house rules while staying. We were starstruck at her beauty. We were also greeted by her staff who were also so nice and accommodating. We also have complimentary cheese bread which was soo good. We even wondered where we could buy those so we could bring some of them home.

While the place is so nice and clean. We really felt we were on vacation which we needed at that time. The beach view from our room was another kind of experience. We loved the sound of the waves while watching the sea. The wifi was also working well which is good for someone who needs to work.

We also got the chance to chill at their kubo which is another good thing about this place. We liked having our breakfast here.

Location is unbeatable! Far enough from the crowds to enjoy your peace and quiet but most dining establishments are just five minutes away on foot.

The owner is accommodating and answers queries ahead of time. They prepared a guidebook for guests on dining favorites and other spots to check out in the area.

Thoughtful design — rooms are cozy and comfortable. Little details address everything you will need for your stay. There are no TVs but you did not go to the beach to watch TV. You will forget screens once you start hanging out at the beachfront kubo with the view of the water and a great spot for watching LU surfers and sunsets. The only downside is that there is no fan at the kubo and it can get pretty hot in the daytime; this is your cue to go for a swim.

Upon arrival, guests will first meet Ms. Starlet, who seems like she is the owner. She frequently struts around the place and can be seen napping in the common areas. Despite this, she is very friendly towards guests. Ms....
