Finally had the chance to go to Clark Museum. As expected, the displays were focused on Clark and Pampanga's growth. I loved that they utilised the window blinds to show pictures of birds that can be found here in Pampanga. I also like that they showcased old town celebrations that I have never heard of before. I was focused on reading descriptions so I wasn't able to take a lot of pictures (yep, I only took three pics š ). š If you are interested in any type of history, you can go to the Angeles Museum first for an overview before going to the Clark Museum and the Pamintuan Mansion for the more focused history chapters. š I paid Php200 for me and my son. My 7 year old daughter was allowed to join us for free. Yep, they're open on weekends. š

Visited the museum and the 4D theater about a month ago. The staff and guards were very friendly. The museum was very informative about the history of Pampanga/Clark. Thereās really a lot to learn. Come in early though if you would really like to read all the infographics they have, as we came in by afternoon, and I didnāt have enough time to read all of them. As for the 4D theater, it was enjoyable naman, though there were times when the configuration of the seat, as well as other special effects, didnāt fit the narration and what was shown on screen. I couldnāt help but laugh when my seat vibrated down there when they were talking about the natives dying. Overall, itās worth a visit and it was a very enriching experience for me.

MORE ARTIFACTS, FEWER PERSONALITIES, PLEASE. I personally love museums and visit as many as I can whether here or overseas. I was happy to see that Clark has its own museum. What it has is best described as "a good start". I am sure that with a little more effort, the artifacts and other items on display would improve. We nevertheless enjoyed the current (October 2024) exhibit of miniature art. The sections about Pampanga are also interesting (Exhibits 1 and 2 at the ground floor). I am sure that Exhibit 3 could be more engaging with more photographs and items from the Clark Airbase period to the transition to the new Clark Freeport. What I found least interesting, and you can skip this part altogether, is the section on the personalities leading Clark Development Corporation (Exhibit 4). I do not know if the curator of the museum had run out of things to display, but this section, which features the personalities who were the past and present leaders of the CDC was unnecessary. Or are the platitudes to the bosses necessary and uniquely Filipino? To my mind, more material about the old Airbase and the future of Clark could fill up to the space better. In any case, visiting the museum is worth the PHP 100 entrance fee. If you don't learn anything new then at least you can get a respite from the heat (air-conditioning is good and there are a few couches in some exhibits).

A good place to quickly get educated about the history of the Clark area, the Air Base, and the culture of its people. To enter, you have to pay 100 pesos each for the museum and another 100 pesos for the 4D Theatre. There's little to no queue to buy entrance tickets. The place has four galleries that educate visitors about the geography around Clark, the culture of the people including the Indigenous population and the Kapampangan people, and the history of Clark Airbase and its development to the present day. Various artifacts, photographs, and models are at show bringing viewers a better understanding of the facts being explained in the images on the walls. Be prepared for a lot of reading. The place has little air conditioning so you might be a bit sweaty from the humidity in the galleries.

A cute little museum that has quite a bit of information on the rich history of Clark and the province of Pampanga. The 4D theatre was also worth watching, if you have an interest in Philippine history. A side story that further makes me appreciate the museum: there were young highschoolers who wanted to explore the museum but didn't realize it was paid, but the museum clerk allowed them to see it for free which I'm a fan of, as encouraging and proliferating education and curiosoty is always a net positive for our society in my book. I would give it 5 stars, but some of the info and presentation is nearly a decade out of date, as Clark has greatly progressed and expanded since they created those presentation points.

After we left the Veteran's cemetery, we got a ride to Clark Air Base. The base has been closed since the 90's. Some parts of it are still in use but much of it has fallen into disrepair. We walked the grounds and took some pics but the most interesting part of our visit was the museum. It's a nice place. Half of it is dedicated to art, 1/4 is dedicated to the air base and the last 1/4 focuses on local history, including the Aetas who are described as Negritos considered original inhabitants of the islands, and Amerasians. We were the only two people visiting so we took our time and enjoyed it all.
