For a place that hosts school trips all the time, the staff doesn't seem to be prepared for several kids having an activity. Went here twice as part of two field trips for two different schools.
Trip 1, cupcake making Eggs they had has mold, and they had to go out to buy eggs in the middle of the activity. The ingredients weren't prepared and the host just stares at us even when several of us obviously do not have enough ingredients to continue with the instructions. No one else was there to assist other than the host.
Trip 2, soap making They had several tables prepped, but they insisted our class smash ourselves into one table while one table was just empty, but prepped. Post covid, they made kids reuse gloves and aprons which have obviously been used by the kids before us. The ingredients weren't refilled in our table (but they were complete in the other table). The bottle with coloring was empty, the bottle with scents was empty and it was so difficult to get someone to assist. They only had two people assisting 48 children with parents.
Between trip 1 and trip 2 which was about 12 months apart I also noticed that, they never refilled the ball pits they just let the balls get crushed and leave them there. Obviously never cleaned them because my son came out of there with a huge insect bite.
Overall the place looked worn but could be fixed with a few touch ups here and there. I wish they would clean more and renew the broken exhibits because kids touch those.
My four year old enjoyed looking and touching but I couldn't help but observe a lot of things out of place and a lot of exhibits that could have been nice if they...
Read moreDream Lab or SciScape, is one of the many iterations of that same concept. It's a mish-mosh of kid's activities and play areas with a sprinkling of science and discovery. If you get the ordinary package, you get the usual bead-making activities, and use of the entire area, not including the paid activities. There are ball pit areas, foam areas, a "space" area where you walk on treadmills, etc. The science exhibits are labeled and the explanations are quite detailed and easy to u destiny, but at the time of our visit, a LOT of the exhibits are either closed, or non-functional. We got the Stellar package which includes pizza making (which is you putting sauce and toppings on a small tortilla, can be done in 15 minutes tops) and adopt-a-fish (which gives you a free betta - which is one of the most violent fish you can get), but in my opinion, these two additional activities do not make the extra additional fees worth it. You can play with RC trucks, ride a manual train, and many more, however, painting and slime making require additional fees. We went on a weekend, and there was only two or three other groups there. 'Nuff said.
If you're a kid, this is an amazing place to be, but for adults, maybe one visit...
Read moreWasted opportunity. The design is nice but there is hardly anything to do. Nothing like Kidzania. There are stations labelled “City Hall” or Hotel but there is no actual activity relevant to the station. They just filled the areas with blocks or ball pits in the middle. There are no attendants in each station. There are product placements of different brands but they are just there as display. Such a waste. There was only 1 go cart available for kids to ride. Every move you make requires payment- the box for the pizza, the arcade games. You can only get 1 kind of cereal from the cereal station. In places like this, you either go all out or just dont do it at all.
I wont be surprised if this closes down in the near future. For the price you pay, totally not worth it.
The personnel at the reception area were nice and accommodating though.
I hope management does something to make the place worth the money and the visit. If they make the price a bit higher but not make visitors pay for every small thing, the experience will be...
