Mayor Isko Moreno made it happen! Jones Bridge is restored and is now an eye candy for the passer by. Being born and raised in Manila. This place has a bad reputation for us. This used to be frequented by snatchers and the likes but it's now a tourist spot. Right in the center of Manila. People stop here for a quick picture especially during the night. Before, we have to go somewhere far for tourists attraction like these but now it's near so people from the city can just ride a jeepney to go here. Kudos, yorme! Manila is starting to boom now. I'm so happy.

Floored how it was aesthetically restored. I was here earlier and I can see that people are coming just to take photos with their friends and families. Sceneric and clean Pasig River and not smelly anymore. I remember when I was in College, used to walk in the streets of Manila. I can see hope, in these days that most of younger generation care not in our local heritage and history as national identity. This project, I considered a milestone to our cultural awareness and pride. More more, kudos to City Government of Manila!

Such a nice sight at night. Lounge a bit and just stare at the Pasig river though with the rising cases of covid in Manila, it isn't an ideal time to visit. Should you decide to go, you can also check the satirs on its side which gives you a better of the actual bridge. If you love the beautiful chaos that is Manila, you'll find this spot romantic. Careful not to fall, literally and figuratively just in case you visit with someone! 😁 Photo of the bridge taken by my friend @JC

The William A. Jones Memorial Bridge, commonly known as the Jones Bridge, is an arched girder bridge that spans the Pasig River in the City of Manila, Philippines. It is named after the United States legislator William Atkinson Jones, who served as the chairman of the U.S. Insular Affairs House Committee which had previously exercised jurisdiction over the Philippines and the principal author of the Jones Law that gave the country legislative autonomy from the United States.

Jones Bridge is a reconstructed bridge that was built after the original was destroyed during the Battle of Manila in 1945. Further restoration efforts are being undertaken to somehow revive the aesthetic of the former bridge which was erected during the American Occupation period of the Philippines. The bridge spans the Pasig River and connects the Intramuros area with the Binondo district to the north side of the river.
