OYO 416 Lucky Hotel — Hotel in Manila

Stayed a week. Room full of cockroaches. Slept with light on because of that. Had the bedsheet changed because it wasn't clean. WIFI was clunky. The door was not secure. Old style home lock and key. The door jamb fell off when I inspected it. Bathroom was all puddle if you shower. No curtain or floor barrier. That was the second room. The initial room they gave me - when I washed my hand all the water went on the floor. Hallways are dark. On the good side, room service had a limited selection of good cheap Filipino lunchboxes till 6 p.m. Very near Ongpin street and supermarket. Near Binondo church so its a lively area but at night you should exercise some caution. It was run like an informal family run homestay! Staff and family sit at the sofa at reception and wear whatever and slippers. They were okay though. No idea where those favorable reviews that pushed up the score came from...wink wink. OYO should be ashamed of themselves. They would brand any hole in the wall...

The hotel's location is okay because it is near so many food stalls in binondo, however, it was way below our expectations. It was not what the CSR I spoke to, described it.

(1) The bed of the hotel had bug bites my wife experienced itchiness from her legs because of the blanket that was provided. (2) The room was not cleaned, room 305. (3) No bath towels and toiletries were provided (4) The head board of the bead is damaged (see picture) (5) There were blood stains in the bed (see picture) (6) The aircon was not functioning at all (7) No hotel wifi we could not connect properly (8) Unclear rates, the CSR told us that if we had an early check in of 8:00 am we would only be charged at 30% of the whole day rate, yet when we arrived we were charged at the different rate of 100 per hour. So we paid more than what we were told. (9) Improper coordination with the CSR and hotel staff
