My friend and I just enjoyed a sumptuous lunch on the second floor so we decided to have some coffee and dessert. We ordered 2 Cappuccinos and one Americano Venti to go. This branch had many customers at this time. The available seat we got was the couch while my friend sat on a regular chair across me. Maybe I was too short so the table was chest level for me-it was uncomfortable. The neighboring customers’ table was too close to us that I could hear everything they were saying-an unpleasant experience as I could barely hear my friend.šŸ˜”

As we finished our coffee and cookie, I went to get our To Go coffee. I requested for a paper bag with handle instead of the usual ā€œsupotā€ type since we had to go to 999 Mall, which was quite distant. The barista obliged but with P5.00 charge. She was all polite, apologetic and kept saying :ā€Mam, I hope you understandā€ – in reference to the P5.00 charge. At that time, I said I understood and even suggested that they put a note P5.00 charge for single paper bag. When I got home, I thought about the incident and said to myself-no I don’t understand why I have to pay P5.00 for a paper bag when I already paid almost P500 for my orders.

I emailed Starbucks about my experience and received this reply: ā€œStarting June 3, Starbucks stores across the Philippines, in support of our commitment to reduce single-use waste, a 5php charge applies for excess paper bags or cups requested on top of our Packaging Standards. You may ask any of our barista to better address your to go needs. As we're committed to a greener future and being part of the change.ā€

So maybe it’s best to post a note about this just...

Located on busy street but once inside you don't hear much noise. Unfortunately lots of sitting area is blocked due to restrictions and some tables even have plastic separation which other branches do not have. It limits a person.. It did kill the mood a bit. Interior is great, I like the wooden pattern around cash registers and how security guard makes sure that not only people who enter are vacinated but also that they clean after themselfs. Making the place ultra clean all the time. I noticed a new line of refreshments poster (cozy pear goodnes), poached pear pure macha latte and poached pear oolong which I am looking forward to try. To add their hibiscus pomegranate tea...

Due to the restrictions brought by pandemic, some seats aren't available because you have to distance yourself from other people (social distancing) Don't forget to bring your vaccination card because if will be ask from you at the entrance. Staffs are accommodating and the ambiance is good. There's also a Cr code (you can't enter if there's no code so keep your receipt after purchase) Code is found at the bottom/top of...

The place was relaxing and the staffs are friendly and accommodating. I noticed that they were quick to clean up tables after the customers left. Also, there were drinks that they serve in mugs for dine in customers. But there were more drinks served in plastic cups, plastic covers and plastic straws. Hopefully, they can transition to using less wasteful materials.
