Tsurumaru Udon x Tempura — Attraction in Manila

Bad service experience. I had a hunch that my food order had been overlooked since customers were coming and going and my udon still hadn't arrived. After 30minutes I asked the male staff why the delay? And he immediately replied with the line is long Without even checking the restaurant itself which had only a handful of customer? There was no queue and no rush at this time as i specifically waited for the lunch rush to end before coming, and he didnt even bother to ask when did I order. After a while, he came back to check my receipt and checked with the kitchen. Finally came back with my order explaining that the cashier overlooked it. I get that mistakes happen but I didnt like his initial sarcastic manner.

As for food, the udon was mushy :( and the broth was oilier than what I'm used to. Maybe I'll just stick to Marugame in Ayala Circuit Makati if I crave udon again. Better and faster service and overall...

I've only been there twice and I like it there. Their service is quick, the staff are friendly, and their food is really delicious. Affordable, too. Great for when you and your friends want authentic Japanese food but you're all on a tight budget.

Please don't worry if your noodle order does not exactly look like the one from the menu. Add some green onions and other ingredients found next to the counter, and you have a good bowl of udon in your hands. If you need dipping sauces, they have a quick guide on how to make them on display.

The place looks nice and warm. Perfect for rainy days.

Litetally the worst restaurant experience I have had in the Philippines and my many travels here. SM mall Santa Rosa is better service, but the food, also middling quality at best. This one needs a manager and cashiers. The cooks were fast, the flavor of the curry decent, the noodles stuck together, the pork tough, the tempura pasty bottomed. The business model needs efficiency, and SM takes cash only so is quicker lines, by the time we made it thru the line, our food was cold.
