Ayala Town Center AlabangSubject: Complaint Regarding Janitorial Harassment at Ayala Town Center Alabang Comfort Room (May 31, 2024) Dear Ayala Town Center Alabang Management,
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and concern regarding a harassing incident that occurred earlier today, Friday, May 31, 2024, between approximately 8:45 and 9:00 pm in the comfort room at your establishment. While using the restroom, I was subjected to unreasonable and abusive behavior by a male janitor. Unfortunately, I was unable to obtain his name. During this time, the janitor , ., banged on all the stalls loudly, yelled through the doors demanding I not use the restroom because he was cleaning. This behavior was not only disruptive but also caused me significant emotional distress and humiliation. I believe that everyone has the right to use the restroom in a safe and respectful environment. The janitor's actions were unacceptable and created a hostile situation. I understand that Republic Act No. 7877 or the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995 protects individuals from such behavior, and I believe this incident may fall under this Act. I urge you to take appropriate action to investigate this incident and ensure that such behavior does not happen again. I request that you: Investigate this complaint and take disciplinary action against the janitor involved. Review your training procedures for janitorial staff to ensure they understand the importance of providing a respectful environment for all patrons. Thank you for your time and attention to this serious matter. I look forward to your prompt response and...
Read more(Update 12/24/2022) One huge thing that I forgot to mention in my original post is the large number of places where a tired shopper can sit down and rest. No other mall that I've visited can compare to it, not even the much larger ones like MOA or Megamall. I'm not sure why that's so, and I can't even say it's an Ayala thing because other Ayala malls like Glorietta have the normal sparse number of free seats. In ATC, there are benches at the ends of the Activity Center (on one end on the 1st floor, both ends on the 2nd and 3rd), and a few in the hallways leading from it. In the circular mini park, there are concrete benches, and if rain prevents their use, metal benches in the hallways encircling it (both ground and 2nd floors). Finally, there's the Corte de las Palmas, where the planters of the eponymous palms double as circular benches.
(Original post Feb. 2022) My favorite mall (so far) in the Alabang area. The nearby Festival mall has moved up from a far to a very close second, what with the addition of the tonier new wing (where Landmark is), but it still has a duller feel in some of the old sections. One thing that ATC has going for it is the nearby Molito center, with its refreshing mini-park. They are, of course, separate businesses, but to a casual shopper like me, they have an integrated feel that can only help both of them. They have many competing businesses, but at the same time, a somewhat symbiotic...
