Silantro Fil-Mex — Restaurant in Muntinlupa

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding the unsatisfactory experience I recently had at your establishment. My visit took place on December 25,2023 at approximately 12:18PM Silantro Fil-Mex Alabang Town Center, and unfortunately, the incidents that occurred have left a lasting negative impression.

Upon ordering a watermelon shake during my visit, I was shocked and appalled to discover a foreign object in my drink. To my dismay, I found a chip of detergent bar in my watermelon shake. Not only did this pose a serious health risk, but it also tainted what should have been a refreshing and enjoyable beverage.

When I brought this matter to the attention of the waiter, their response was far from satisfactory. The waiter merely offered a casual apology and failed to take any immediate action or report the incident to the manager. This lack of urgency and responsibility regarding such a serious issue is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the restaurant's commitment to customer safety and satisfaction.

Furthermore, the overall service during my visit was subpar. Our order took more than 35 minutes to arrive, which significantly impacted the dining experience. It is disheartening to witness such a lack of efficiency and attentiveness in a restaurant of your reputation.

As a customer, I believe it is crucial for a dining establishment to prioritize the well-being and satisfaction of its patrons. Unfortunately, my recent experience at Silantro Fil-Mex has left me with serious reservations about the quality of service and hygiene standards upheld by your establishment.

I strongly urge you to thoroughly investigate this matter, take appropriate action to address the lapse in hygiene, and implement measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. Silantro has been highly recommended by my foodie friends and family. And they are right. People are lining up and willing to wait even as late as 1pm on a weekend. It is even located in a corner where you could first pass a lot of other tempting restaurant before you reach it. So it made me more excited about the place and especially their food.

As we enter the restaurant, I find their Mexican style simple and casual. While the food is so flavorful and delicious (well any Mex food seems to be generally good). My fave are the macho lucha steak (nice name) which is so tender and the paella fajita. Quesadilla and tacos are good too. These are all perfectly matched with their unlimitted signature white, yellow and green sauce. We might have just ordered what is enough for our tummy but I am really tempted to try their other menu.
