Amazingly great burgers! Probably the best burger patties anywhere. I say that very seriously. These are great burgers!
I discovered 8 Cuts Burger Blends on a trip to Manila, pre-covid. It was so good but I couldn't get back to try them again . Everytime since, when I've been in a "best burgers in..." discussion, I've always said, "but someone should bring in 8 Cuts, and it would be the best."
Now, returning to Manila, it was great to find they have expanded their menu and locations. My son and I walked over from our hotel to the Alabang location. He had a cheese burger and I had a blue burger with bacon. Though the experience was a bit different, the burgers were as I remembered. We were both very happy. I also found the onion rings to be world class. Very seriously probably the best I've had.
Ok so what wasn't quite right? Ah the end of the dinner rush, it was crowded and the few seats available were quite small and uncomfortable. However when a booth opened up, the staff quickly cleaned it up and moved us in. In that moment I remembered something I love in the Philippines, great customer care. Even the way the table was wiped down and dried was excellent service.
The other thing that wasn't perfect, not enough blue cheese and what was there wasn't spread around. It was all in one spot on the burger. Now when the burger is that good, there's no need for the blue cheese, to be honest, however if I paid for it, it should be on there right.
I will continue to sing the praises of 8 Cuts wherever in the world I have a "best burgers in..." discussion. AND I will keep talking it up with anyone who might like to bring 8 Cuts to wherever in the world I happen to live. With burgers this good, I think they will...
Read moreFood 01 – The Basic The burger is a decent size, and the patty is cooked beautifully—nice and juicy. It's well-supported by the other toppings, which are also generously portioned. The flavor is just so good—honestly, this might be the best-tasting burger I’ve ever had. It's worth noting that this comes as a meal: the burger, a side (your choice of fries, onion rings, or chicken poppers), and a drink. Considering the price, the portion size, and the flavor, I think it’s a great deal. Unfortunately, during our visit, the skinny fries weren’t available.
Onion Rings These might be some of the best onion rings I’ve ever tried. The batter is perfectly crispy and easy to bite through. The onions inside are moist, not overpowering in scent or taste, making for a really enjoyable bite.
Service The servers were attentive once you got their attention. However, at one point, there didn’t seem to be many staff keeping watch, which I hope isn’t usually the case.
Atmosphere The place is visually enjoyable. The decor matches the overall vibe and complements the kind of food they serve. Seating is well spaced, giving a comfortable amount of room between tables.
Overall I could say this is worthy of a 4.5 out of 5 rating. Definitely will come back and try their...
Read moreThis is probably my 2nd time eating at 8 Cuts. They offer a variety of burgers with sides of fries and/or onion rings. The place itself is ok. Though the lighting is somewhat dim, and seating is limited (due to Covid). We opted for the sofa booth which can comfortably seat 4 people. I ordered the cheeseburger and wings combo with the bottomless iced tea (just add Php to the combo). I chose a spicy version of the wings. However, I was disappointed as it was not spicy enough for me and it was the spiciest on their menu. The wings were ok in size and were cooked thoroughly (nobody likes a bloody wing). The burger itself is good as well. Nothing too extraordinary. I had to use my knife and fork to eat it as it is too big to eat with your hands. The price for the meal is somewhat ok. All in all, the experience was satisfying. I may go back...
