The film tells the story of two feuding families of Pawlak and Kargula, who shortly after the end of World War II are forced to leave the Eastern Borderlands and settle in the Regained Territories. Their quarrels date back to pre-war times. The dispute continues over copper and Kargul's cow, who has suffered damage to the Pawlaks. The reason for the quarrel is the land, which Kargul plowed 3 fingers too far towards the land of Pawlaków, which led to bloodshed. Fearing punishment for cutting the Kargul scythe, Jan Pawlak emigrates to the United States. After years, he returns to Poland, where his brother Kazimierz and his family live in harmony with their hated neighbor. To reassure John, Kazimierz tells him the story of reconciliation of families, including the marriage of his son, Witia and daughter...

Please do visit torun as it has a heart and a soul to the town and it's gonna bring you the peace that big and busy cities like Krakow or Warsaw won't be...
