Portugal's Azores archipelago is a gem of the Atlantic, known for its stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and abundant biodiversity. My opinion of the Azores is that it's an idyllic destination that combines the beauty of nature with a tranquil, laid-back lifestyle. The Azores, consisting of nine islands, each with its own unique character, offer a diverse range of environments. From the lush, volcanic landscapes of São Miguel to the dramatic cliffs and crater lakes of Terceira and Pico, there's something for everyone. The natural beauty is unparalleled, with verdant forests, pristine beaches, and geothermal hot springs creating a paradise for nature enthusiasts. The Azores' commitment to sustainability and eco-tourism is commendable. Efforts to protect the environment are evident, with strict regulations on development and a focus on renewable energy sources. This ensures that the islands remain unspoiled, allowing visitors to experience the raw beauty of nature without compromising its integrity. The local culture is warm and inviting, with a rich history that reflects Portuguese traditions while embracing the unique characteristics of island life. Festivals, traditional music, and delicious cuisine add to the overall charm. Overall, the Azores are a remarkable destination for those seeking a blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion. It's a place where you can disconnect from the hustle and bustle of modern life and reconnect with the beauty of the natural world.

I had last been here when I was very young and had those young memories and expectations when I went there again. At the beginning of the 'park' you find an ode to the old Portuguese territories that they founded during their navigational journeys including Macau, Timor, Guinea Bissau and so forth. The second part is of some famous Portuguese monuments. Finally the third part is of the various architectural housing designs old and new throughout Portugal. I feel that the first part could do with an upgrade and a little more information on the various territories, making it less superficial and more educational. There was also an exhibition of Lego toys and sets old and new I'm unsure if this is a permanent or temporary exhibition. The park as a whole is good as it's done really well. Kids will love it because they can run in and out of all the tiny little houses. That said there are A LOT of kids running around.

This is a place where you can discover Portuguese history. It takes you on a journey to all the places Portugal colonised during the time when Portuguese exploitation was at its peak. Discovery was the main goal finding new worlds and setting up trade routes. Go on a journey from Azores to Angola. From Mozambique to Macau and India. Also get to see some of the architecture from the place, with perfectly build replicas build here in miniature. Its great for whole family. The children love it because all the small buildings they can run in and out of play on and explore. There is a small train that takes you around for a short trip. Also there is an area with many small houses, churches and castles for the kids to play on and in. There is also a play area with swings and slides and a grass place to play on.

It's a beautiful place to view the architecture of historic buildings in Portugal in a miniature style. This lovely concept allows adults and children to know how the significant landmark buildings in Portugal look and some information about them. The site is picturesque, with enough space for moving around and enjoying the site. Adults and children can enter the buildings and read more information about the building and its associating attributes. If you want to ease yourself when pressed, there's a public toilet. Additionally, when you feel hungry or need something to drink, there's a vending machine where you can purchase drinks and snacks. Overall, it's an excellent place to hang out as a family.
