The tourist office in Setubal recommended this museum. I went in search of it using their map. It appeared to be on Av. Luisa Todi, but it's not. It's a few streets behind. Near the roundabout Rotunda das Sardinhas, behind the shop Casa Santiago there is an alleyway by a red building. There is a small brown direction notice. Go up 7 steps and turn left under the arch, follow the path round and turn right continue up the slop and under an arch and the red building on your right is the museum. Just a little further on is a mirador with a view over Setubal. The price to enter is only €1.61. Free if aged 65+. On y apprend beaucoup sur la vie à Setúbal aux XIXème et XXème siècles : objets du quotidien, agriculture et matériel agricole, reconstitution d'une épicerie, industrie de la sardine (salaison et conditionnement). Toute l'information (disponible dans plusieurs langues dont le français) apporte des explications afin de comprendre, de se représenter la vie de l'habitante ou habitant lambda de la ville à l'époque. Des audio-guides sont fournis gratuitement et permettent d'avoir pour fil conducteur le collectage musical fait par Giacometti (ce qui prend beaucoup de temps, mais il est possible d'accélérer, d'arrêter, ou de se contenter des explications).
