La iglesia de Santa María de Gracia es la catedral de Setúbal y está situada en la zona más elevada de la población, en el corazón del antiguo burgo medieval, a partir del cual se desarrolló el barrio más importante de la ciudad. El origen del templo se encuentra en una pequeña iglesia gótica del siglo XIII, que fue sustituida por la actual durante el siglo XVI, según el diseño manierista de Antonio Rodrigues. Destacan sus dos torres y su imponente fachada en el exterior y sus pinturas y frescos interiores, así como la decoración del siglo XVIII en azulejo representando escenas de la vida de la Virgen. La entrada a la iglesia es gratuita, aunque desafortunadamente su horario de apertura es muy limitado, lo que dificulta mucho poder visitar su interior. Solo abre de martes a sábados, de 17.00 a 19.00 horas, y domingos, de 10.00 a 13.00 horas....
