Парящий мост в парке «Зарядье» был открыт 9 сентября 2017 г. Он быстро стал одним из излюбленных мест в центре Москвы среди жителей города и гостей столицы.

Технологически Парящий мост является не мостом, а V-образной смотровой площадкой. За необычную форму москвичи назвали его «скрепкой». Общая длина Парящего моста – 244 м., масса – 3,7 тыс. т. Два входа на площадку расположены в парке «Зарядье», мост в двух местах пересекает Москворецкую набережную, вклинивается в Москва-реку, нависая над поверхностью воды на высоте в 15 м.

При строительстве смотровой площадки не использовалось ни одной выносной опоры – мост, действительно, «парит» над землей. Удерживает всю систему расположенная на набережной сверхпрочная несущая конструкция из бетона и металла. Внутри этой опоры установлен лифт.

По всему периметру Парящий мост огражден стеклянным забором, пешеходная зона устелена досками из древесины ценных пород. В ходе испытаний было выяснено, что рабочая нагрузка на смотровую площадку – не менее 240 т. Это значит, что одновременно на мосту могут находиться около 4 тыс. человек. Другое дело, что такое количество людей там невозможно разместить физически. Но, несмотря на это, посетителей пускают на мост группами, не из-за страха обрушения, а чтобы избежать столпотворения.

С 15-метровой высоты открывается потрясающий вид на Московский Кремль, Собор Василия Блаженного, Храм Христа Спасителя и Замоскворечье. Столичные власти обещают направить заявку на включение Парящего моста в Книгу рекордов Гиннеса (на 07.12.2017 решение о включении не принято).

На мосту реализована современная система мониторинга сложных инженерно-технических сооружений. Датчики постоянно фиксируют динамику моста, колебания, напряжение несущих конструкций. Информацию получает и анализирует специальный центр МЧС.

Срок службы Парящего моста – 100 лет. По данным столичных властей, возведение объекта обошлось городу в 860 млн. руб.
