Our native carnivorous plants are really something special 💚💚. Here are two Sundew species found in Pledge - the taller stemmed 𝘋𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘢 𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘢 with flowers, and the undescribed Drosera sp. Knysna which is flattened against the ground with tall flower stalk raised far away from the leaves. Notice the sticky mucilage drops secreted from the leaves which lure, trap and dissolve their tiny prey items! 🦟🐜🪰 One can understand where the common name of Sundew comes from. Spot them in wetter pockets along the Fynbos, Cape Ash and Protea trails ☺️

Simply stunning and entry isn't expensive. One for the books.... and if you find yourself there on a Wednesday morning be sure to meet up with Nanna and the team and find out how you can help with removing...
