Perfect spot for anyone traveling through the Western Cape, especially if you’re a rep working in and around Knysna. Lukas was an incredible host who went out of his way to make my stay comfortable. Breakfast every morning was not only delicious but served at the exact time I needed, which made starting my day effortless. The rooms strike a perfect balance – modern, elegant, and stylish, yet still keeping some classic touches that give the lodge real character. The views from the lodge are spectacular, and the whole place feels well-rounded and thoughtfully run. Honestly, for the price you pay, it feels too good to be true – a real gem in Knysna. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a welcoming, affordable, and professional bed and breakfast in the Garden Route!

A beautiful BnB with wonderful hosts. My 2 friends and I stayed for 2 nights to run the Knysna Half marathon and we could not have been made to feel more welcome Mart, Pete and their team were simply lovely. I stayed in room 1 and they stayed in room 3. Both were lovingly appointed and boasted excellent views, ensuite bathrooms and tea/coffee stations. We had to get up at ~4:30 for the run, but we were told they would be up and making oats and tea/coffee to keep our energy up in the race. So kind! We did have the included breakfast the next day and it was spectacular - I highly recommend the omelette! Overall we had a lovely time and I would definitely visit again! Thank you to Mart, Pete and their team for such a great weekend stay!

Amazing Stay at the Guinea Fowl Lodge – Can’t Recommend It Enough!

From the moment we got to Guinea Fowl Lodge, Lukas and his team made us feel right at home. They were super friendly and really go out of their way to make sure you have a great time.

The rooms are just lovely — cozy, clean, and full of cool antique furniture that gives the place a really nice, cool vibe. We stayed in a spacious bungalow with a cute little courtyard and a balcony that looks out over Knysna Bay.

Breakfast was absolutely tasty, and having it with that view made it even that much better. Lukas and the staff were always on hand and happy to help with anything you need.

Ubers are easy to get and super affordable, so getting around the quaint little town is no problem at all.

The location is just stunning — peaceful and with incredible views over the bay. After a day of exploring Knysna, chilling by the pool is the perfect way to relax.

All in all, Guinea Fowl Lodge felt like a home away from home. Lukas really knows how to make his guests feel special, and we can’t wait to go back. If you’re heading to Knysna, It'd happily and strongly recommend No.13 @TheGuineaFowlLodge....

From the moment we arrived at Guinea Fowl Lodge, Lukas and his team made us feel completely welcome. Their warm hospitality and attentiveness really made our stay special.

The rooms were charming — clean, comfortable, and filled with unique antique pieces that gave the lodge a relaxed and stylish atmosphere. We stayed in a spacious bungalow that came with a lovely little courtyard and a balcony offering stunning views of Knysna Bay.

Breakfast was delicious, and enjoying it with that incredible view made it even more enjoyable. Lukas and the team were always nearby and ready to help with anything we needed.

Getting around town was a breeze thanks to affordable and easily accessible Ubers, making it simple to explore all that Knysna has to offer.

The setting is absolutely beautiful — quiet, serene, and with breathtaking bay views. After a day of sightseeing, lounging by the pool was the perfect...

Mart & Pete, proprietors do well to welcome you and be helpful. The accommodation is cosy and shows care. Also there is a consideration of the current water shortage problem, that they address and try and bring the guests in board to help - which is no problem. Pete "The Chef de Breakfast" does a good job and cooks a wicked omelette. The breakfast is nice||||We have found in several SA B & B's that the furniture is dated (I don't mean antique) and I think people demand a little more than this now. The towels were on the small side. Another niggle we hate that is peculiar to a few B & B's here is the need to fill in a questionnaire the day before on what you want for breakfast, who knows what is your fancy 12 hours hence and why the need to know? Relax this a bit||||But these only small points that I...
