As I went for a beach walk with a friend we were surprised by more then an hour's entertainment of a mother whale and her calf.

We saw them leaping and playfully breaking through the waves together.

It was such a delight to watch them.

It is truly a stunning beach, and you can go for a long stretch of uninterrupted walks.

What is also pleasant is that it is clean and safe enough to wiggle your toes in the sand,...you can go for a bare-foot beach walk without worries.

It is also great to go for a swim on a hot day.
