Backline Lounge Bar — Restaurant in George

I'm usually too lazy to rate restaurant or pub visits on social media. But the backline really deserves kudos. As the name suggests, the entrance is somewhat hidden behind the Wilderness Caltex gas station. The extremely tastefully decorated lounge bar is located on the first floor and has a spacious outdoor deck. After trying to find the entrance which has zero signage. We were met by potentially one of the least friendly people that I have ever met in a service related industry. He may have been better as a prison warden.

We had looked forward to visiting until we greeted this guy. He absolutely left us feeling unwelcome and I wouldn't event employ him for a back office job.

Entrance was a bit tricky to find but once you are up the stairs its great. Friendly and efficiant staff quickly gave us a seat, explained the tapas menu and took a drinks order.
