I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ilali Restaurant and indulging in their magnificent ramen noodles with fresh vegetables. Let me tell you, it was an experience that exceeded all expectations and left me craving for more.

From the very first bite, I knew I was in for something extraordinary. The ramen noodles were perfectly cooked, with a delightful springiness that danced on my palate. The broth, rich and flavorful, enveloped each noodle strand, infusing it with an exquisite depth of taste that simply took my breath away.

But what truly set this dish apart were the vibrant, fresh vegetables that adorned the bowl. Each vegetable was carefully selected and expertly prepared, adding a symphony of colors, textures, and flavors to the already heavenly combination. The crispness of the bok choy, the subtle sweetness of the carrots, and the earthiness of the mushrooms all harmonized flawlessly, creating a delightful balance that left me in awe.

The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the dish. The presentation was a work of art, showcasing the chef's meticulousness and dedication to their craft. Even the garnishes, such as the delicate sprinkle of sesame seeds and the fragrant hint of cilantro, were thoughtfully chosen to enhance the overall experience.

I must confess, the ramen noodles with fresh vegetables at Ilali Restaurant have set the bar incredibly high. They have raised the standard for what ramen should be, offering a culinary masterpiece that lingers in my memory long after the last spoonful. If you're a ramen enthusiast or simply a lover of exceptional food, a visit to Ilali Restaurant is an...

The restaurant was chosen based on good reviews in Google. This usually works. But not at this case! We reserved a place in advance, specially booked in person at the restaurant. The restaurant was on time. What caught my eye , was the completely unequal distribution of seats in the restaurant. There are good places, there are not so good places. I'm not prejudiced, but I would simply not put a table in the center opposite the drinks distribution counter, if I were the owner of the establishment. Or do you think that people, who come to eat in a relaxed atmosphere, will feel comfortable opposite the distribution of drinks, when the waiters run back and forth and around quite noisy. If you think so, then you are taking someone else's place. And now to the restaurant itself. Suddenly it began to rain. Rain was just announced in advance and a good restaurant manager should see, what the weather will be like and maybe take only such orders on that day to seat people indoors, and not fill the restaurant to overflowing. And when it began to rain, the restaurant staff did not know, where to seat people. The staff probably works well in a calm atmosphere, but in the atmosphere, when something went wrong, they absolutely do not know how to behave. We left the restaurant right after we noticed that the waiters just don't know what to do. And in this stressful situation, the service staff turned out to be unfriendly. Well, now to the food, which we still got. The soup that was brought to us, however, was tasteless. More specifically, not salty or peppery. I won't go there again and wouldn't recommend...

I was absolutely blown away, I don't even know where to begin!

I have NEVER eaten so well before!

The service was great: our waitress was friendly, humorous and just the right amount of attentive.

The manager checked on every table, but not in the annoying while-you're-still-eating way that other managers so often do (when they bother). Clearly the entire restaurant is very well run behind the scenes: good leadership is a rare trait in a world where even the largest multinational corporations are often poorly run - so this was great to see.

But it is the kitchen that's entirely in a league of its own... Deliberately visible and audible from some of the tables (like ours), it was lovely to see a team of happily productive cooks. The general attitude in the kitchen is positive and jovial, while clearly still being professional.

But the food - MY WORD, THE FOOD! The head chef is nothing short of a national treasure. No exaggeration. Our starters, mains and desserts were absolutely incredible! Off the charts incredible. 10 stars out of 5 incredible. My vocabulary, nay, the English language itself, lacks the superlatives to adequately describe the level of incredibleness that ilali food seemingly defaults to. Think "Charlie Bucket describing tasting a Wonka chocolate bar for the first time" incredibleness. It's the kind of food that can make a grown man weep with joy. The Michelin star awarding folks need to visit ilali.

Oh, and it's shockingly affordable too!

Now if only I didn't live...

An Unforgettable Dining Experience in Wilderness. Best restaurant in this area.. If you're searching for an exceptional culinary experience, look no further than this outstanding restaurant in Wilderness. On our third visit, we were once again blown away by the exemplary service and incredible food. Right from the start, the warm and friendly staff made us feel welcome. The two ladies who served us were not only professional but also remarkably efficient, enhancing our dining experience. Their attentiveness and genuine hospitality are truly commendable. The food impressed us beyond measure. We savored the wood-fired oven garlic snails, which were out of this world, and the signature hake dish accompanied by rustic chips was nothing short of perfection. Each bite was a delightful gastronomic adventure, reflecting the establishment’s commitment to quality and flavor. Today’s visit was just as spectacular. We indulged in the Indian platter for two, and once again, the food did not disappoint. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, showcasing culinary expertise and an attention to detail that rivals fine dining establishments. For anyone seeking a remarkable dining experience characterized by impeccable service and mouthwatering cuisine, this restaurant comes highly recommended. We can’t wait for our next visit!

I can't tell you how impressed I was with this restaurant. From the moment my wife and I walked into IIali to the time we left, everything was a level plus. The hostess and waitresses on duty all welcomed us with genuine smiles and a welcoming vibe. Unlike CT (we're from CT), where welcoming in restaurants tends to be a stretch rather than genuine. My wife and I were on the way to Jefferies Bay and stopped over in the Wilderness and decided to choose the IIlali restaurant to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary. What an awesome guess !! Our food was top class, I had the seafood platter (R375) while my wife had a butternut start and the Rump with chimchurri sauce on the side. I can honestly tell you that besides Pigualles in Green Point, my seafood platter was the best I've had in terms of taste. CT's elite restaurants rely on the view, in too many cases, imo. The restaurant owns a fresh, modern atmosphere with great, friendly service. At the end of the evening, my wife and I were surprised by a very tasty (no charge) dessert for our anniversary. It was an amazing evening !!

This is a gem; an absolute must in the area. We’ve been travelling through SA for several days now, from Joh via Kruger to the coast now, and this has been the best meal we’ve had since arriving. Vietnamese Duck roll as a starter - wonderful - on a bed of fantastically fresh and crunchy veggies (you’ll start appreciating veggies after 4 days of sausage, eggs & bacon, and steak and chicken diet..). Followed by an outstanding line fish filet and solid fish and chips; the latter we ordered with sautéed veggies, and those again were so delicious. We finished with turkish delight ice cream- poetry! - and again very decent ice cream too. We had two mocktails to accompany the meal - one based on bitters, another - roibos & pineapple juice - again, 1000% to our liking. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, to top it all off, putting in more wood logs on a very cold evening.
