Rather look at all the info online instead of communicating on whatsapp, cause they give a rating without saying what the rating is for but online they say it’s a difficulty rating. So we chose the hardest room by accident. Our time was for 16:00 we waited well after 16:00 to actually start. When the rules were being explained, they said if anything is bolted to the wall or floor don’t try to move it, get into the room, then a part of the game was to unbolt a thing from the wall which we were hesitant to do. We definitely weren’t the brightest of tools figuring things out I will admit but the way that room had to be completed was unnecessary. Half of us was over it in the first 15minutes. Make sure you only do 3 people when going, if you are more than that you have people sitting around not having anything to do and not part of the game anymore. I understand being nice by giving extra time but if the game master looked on the camera more than half the group was over it and just wanted to be done with it. Eventually getting to the end they forgot to put a game piece in the room for the final part to actually escape and that ruined the whole experience even more. First time doing an escape room but will never do it again for having such a bad experience. Definitely not worth how expensive it was! The only good thing I have to say about it is the...
Read moreHashtag Escape was a fun night out with a group of friends. The problem-solving wasn't too easy or too hard for the most part, so the balance was good. Some we got right away and some were real head-scratchers. If you are struggling too much, hints can be given by the dedicated staff member assigned to watch and "run" that particular room.
Side note, the entrance is a security door on ground level with a staircase to the upper level. Keep a sharp eye out or you could walk past it easily.
There are three Escape rooms available and the content is changed periodically to refresh the experiences. Pricing is reasonable and corporate rates are available for company team-building events where you can field 3 teams and alternate all of the rooms. Located in Grant Avenue in Norwood, you have myriad meal options.
My one criticism was that there was an overuse of locks. Unlock this box to get a key to unlock this drawer, and so on. That said there were quite a few innovative ideas and different kinds of locked items and types of locks so it wasn't quite a padlock to padlock hop-scotch. We also only did one room so I can't speak to the others.
On balance, I'd highly recommend trying this out with some friends. It's a unique experience that everyone ought to try at least once and makes a nice change from your regular...
Read moreHashtag Escape Room is hands down one of the BEST escape rooms I’ve ever experienced! From the moment we walked in, we were transported into another world. The atmosphere, the storyline, the props everything was so well thought out and incredibly immersive. Each puzzle was clever, challenging, and satisfying to solve. It never felt repetitive or random, everything had purpose and creativity behind it. We did the 4 theme there(trust me it’s exiting enough to push you to do all) , and wow… it was a rollercoaster of excitement, teamwork, and brainpower! Just when we thought we were stuck, a tiny breakthrough would lead to the most thrilling “Ahaaa!” moment. We were cheering, laughing, and completely absorbed from start to finish. The staff were amazing and friendly, enthusiastic, and clearly love what they do. They gave us just enough hints to keep us moving but still let us own our victory. It felt like they genuinely cared about making sure we had an unforgettable time. Whether you’re with friends, family, or colleagues, this is an experience you won’t forget.Hashtag raised the bar to a whole new level. I’m already planning to come back and try the one room we...
