KFC Bedford Centre — Restaurant in Gauteng

First drive-thru experience at this KFC:- The staff at the Windows that take the orders, payments and give us the food, DON'T greet you, they are definitely NOT friendly people. They are extremely incompetent and constantly mix up orders, which we found out from the car that was in front of us and then the same with us, they asked us to park after waiting 10 minutes at the collection window, and back and forth yelling between staff which seriously make us feel uncomfortable, so we parked and waited, 45 minutes later we were still waiting. Eventually we went inside as nobody was informing us on what was happening with our order, and they had completely forgotten about us, they even had the audacity to ask if we were sitting inside, where another lady of staff shouted no they are the drive-they people and then wanted to know what our order was, not to mention there was another 2 customers, one sitting inside waiting for their order and another man trying to order, but again there was NOBODY that greeted him or even showed him that they had seen him standing there. Then 3 of them screamed different times ranging from 8-20min extra for us to wait in the car and continued screaming in the kitchen and laughing at us cause they thought it was funny.

Second drive-thru visit:- We gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned today, only to be kept waiting again for 20 minutes at the window with 3 cars waiting behind us, screaming again, and this time could not complete our order due to a broken machine, with no option to get another drink they just refunded us, instead of finding out what we would like to REPLACE the drink with. We tried to get their attention multiple times but no one noticed as they were screaming at each other again.

The street wise 3 meals chicken tastes like rubber and I DO NOT FIND THIS KFC WORTH OUR TIME OR ANYBODIES TIME AND MONEY.

I would like to complain about the transaction that was done by 15 Thembeka time 16h51 date 03/09/2023 at KFC BEDFORDVIEW CNR REGENT ST & KIRKBY.

I purchased 2x Sandae ice that cost R24.90 each, the ice cream was half of a cup size and I complained as a customer that the ice cream is small and the lady that assisted me, added more Ice cream still it wasn't that full but every one was shouting at the lady and saying the ice cream supposed to be small on scale and why did she add more Ice cream and blah blah blah a lot of things was said to the poor lady infront of the customers that complained about the services and when the lady was assisting, the stuff members was shouting infront of us. That was unprofessional and it didn't show customer service satisfaction instead it showed Greedy and Childish behave in a business coparate world.

I didn't appreciate the behavior of everyone who shouted and made noise to the lady that was assist me with the ice cream.

The behavior I got from the staff made me asked my self if the proper customers services training was done or what training was conduct that highling on customer service.

Apologies to the lady that was assisting me for being beaten by her colleagues for attending my Complaint about the small scale...

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this KFC branch and I feel compelled to share it. I went through the drive-through to grab a quick lunch and ordered the Dunked Pops to take home. Once I got home, I shared the meal with my sister and we started eating like normal — until I stuck my fork into the food and discovered a cockroach inside.

I was absolutely disgusted and immediately threw up.

I was shocked, horrified, and angry. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I called the restaurant straight away to report it, and the response I received was even more upsetting. The person on the line told me, "Next time come inside and eat."

I was speechless. That’s the kind of response you give someone after they just found a cockroach in their meal? No apology, no responsibility taken — just a careless, dismissive remark.

This experience has completely put me off KFC for good. I will never eat there again and I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.

Food safety and hygiene should be a top priority, and this experience shows a complete lack of both.
