Sejong Center has been regarded as Korea's representative performance hall. Especially, its pipe organ was the largest in Asia when it opened in 1978. As you are well aware, in Europe, pipe organs were a means of showing off a city's wealth. I enjoyed THE GREATEST : Thrill, Jeong Dong-ha x Sohyang - Seoul, dated September 17, 2023. and Universal Ballet, The Nutcracker, dated December 28, 2023. It is easy to reach by using Seoul subway line no.5 Gwanghwamun station, exit no.9. There doesn't seem to be a place to store your winter coat. Instead of a cloakroom, there were unmanned lockers on the 2nd floor but its controling screen was not easy to touch. And I saw several vending machines for water and soda. For your information, box office will be open 1 hour and 30 minutes before the performance starts. The staff will allow you to come inside to the performance hall in 30 minutes before the performance starts. Enjoy.

I bought a ticket for a Korean Musical named “The Last Empress”, which was definitely worthy to enjoy but not that much as an international tourist! Simple because, firstly there’s no English subtitles but Korean only on the screen at front of your seat! Secondly, Comparing to “Madam Butterfly”🇯🇵 n “Turandot”🇨🇳 which are both Operas with East Asian Themes created in Europe🇪🇺 as well as The Musical “The Phantom of the Opera” in Broadway🇺🇸 n West end🇬🇧 All of them provide remarkable “Live orchestra🎵”, which make guests fully enjoy a world-class performance🎵

The Sejong Center for the Performing Arts is an iconic performance venue located in Gwanghwamun, Seoul. For Korean artists, performing here is considered the ultimate honor, and it wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it the Carnegie Hall of Korea. While the facilities are somewhat dated and inconvenient, they are receiving positive feedback. It is conveniently located right next to Gwanghwamun Square, and it is also great for a walk after the performance. Making its own original performances like Ilmu(One Dance) is also a promising idea.

Sejong cultural center is located at 175 Sejong daero,Jongno-gu, Seoul, Korea. The Place is crowded and has an exciting atmosphere. The facility has a cafe inside and the restrooms are spacious and clean. Also, there is a sitting area on the second floor. And it has 3,022 seats. I have been here at least 5 times to see a musical or concert. I saw the musical Mozart here. The musical was very entertaining and the sound was great. The staff kindly informed me where to sit. Arrive 30 minutes before the show to take a photo in the Photo Zone. And buy a Parking tickets in advance. I recommend the sejong cultural center to You. Every major city ought to have something awesome at it's centre, a centre piece worthy of a massive connurbation. For Seoul this veneration is represented in magnificent style by two over size bronze statues - one of King Sejong and the other of Admiral Yi Sun-Sin. It's the stories of these two leaders that are most interesting and emblematic of a people and it's history, told at the Sejong centre, the cultural heart of Seoul and arguably of Korea. As expected there's wood panelling and dust, clean lines of concrete and mood lighting, and better a scale replica of Sun's battleship plus a likeness of the mighty Sejong himself ahorse and on kingly duty looking as gallant as a king might. The cohort of Ben Stiller and company from Night at the MUSEUM might have done well to include the great leader in their waxy foray. Shame really. Go for the soothing lighting, stay for the calligraphy lesson and get your hangul on. Strong WiFi. Exhibition venue....
