Delito by Carbón Moreno — Restaurant in Alcúdia

After visiting Carbon Moreno in Alcudia old town to discover is was closed down we called the restaurant who told us they had moved to Port d’Alcudia. We were getting ‘hangry’ at this point so this wasn’t a great start. However, when we ventured down to the Port we were seated by a nice lady who was very attentive.

My boyfriend had the beef tacos which he said were okay, my sister had a cheese burger which she said was really delicious and I had a classic burger with a gluten free bun which I really enjoyed. ( It’s very hard to come across a restaurant that has gluten free burger buns so this is a plus for me ! ) We also has guacamole and nachos to share which was lovely.

My only reasoning for not giving this place full stars is:

If you are willing to wait for your food and I mean ‘really’ wait then you are in for a surprise. The sloth like service was at points frankly so bad it was hilarious. It’s like the local talent agency sent in the goon squad to run a restaurant for the first time.

That said we endured and miraculously after some 1hr of waiting we duly received…..everything all at once, our starters 6 naturally Oysters (yes 1hr to shuck Oysters apparently?) and the Tacos, shrimp and Pork Pibil.

Was it worth the wait, well yes. I was starving but honestly the tacos were good perhaps forgivingly so. If they can sort their service out this will be good. The burgers, the ones they managed to get out of the kitchen, looked pretty good also.

Guess you’ll get an ‘experience’ if you visit...

We were a party of 4 and had reserved a table beforehand. The food came pretty quickly and it was okay... Maybe a bit on the bland side. The service on the other hand was a little disappointing. My drink was taken from me before I could finish it, while we were still eating and I spottet the wait-staff doing it at another table as well where they took a bottle of water that still had half a glass full in inside.
