La Perlita — Restaurant in Antigua

Was hungry for lunch and saw a nice small restaurant on the beach. We ordered (drinks are very over priced €3 for a can of drink) pizza, calamari and sandwiches. The calamari was undercooked and rubbery it tasted horrendous, the pizza was burnt on one side and undercooked on the other, it looked like it had been microwaved from frozen the cheese was like rubber, the sandwiches were extremely average. The service was terrible they gave food and drinks to the wrong tables and got orders wrong. It took ages for our lunch to be served and they had to confirm the order when half our food was delivered as if they had forgot half of what we ordered and the pizza came out 10 mins after all the other food. A nice little restaurant/snack bar you can go to during beach days. It has a beach view. Although to me the workers are a bit overworked and have to serve a bunch of tables, the place seems quite busy most of the time so food takes longer to come. The food is good, nothing special although drinks are great. We went here 2 times and each time it was quite busy, we ate pizza, canarian potatoes, caprese salad and chicken nuggets and chips including both days we went. Location and views are amazing. Prices are okay. The cafe belongs to the big adjacent four star hotel. This cafe feels more like one star. Horrible service, not friendly, hsf to ask for the receipt twice and still waited 15 minutes. The second visit,m wasn't any better, we asked to get our food orders in 5 minutes but nobody ever came. The Club Sandwich was abysmal, the fries like they were mad at McDonald's a day before. If you just wanna drink something and can accept a bad service but fair prices this is okay. But do not...
