Bar Oliver (Bar OliverFly) — Restaurant in Antigua

What a great venue. Very comfortable, excellent table service and super atmosphere the evening we were there. We went there for tapas as it's the best rated tapas bar in the area, and now i know why. We tried to get a walk-in table previously on a Sunday afternoon, but that was a bad idea, and we just had a drink, but the staff were so kind to us under the circumstances. What we learned was, Sunday lunchtime is a sell-out Nd frequented by locals. Prior booking in advance is essential, so be warned. Also, check the website for seasonal opening hours to be certain. We decided to return 2 nights later, and things were a bit quieter. The service in this bar is superb with friendly and attentive staff. This is not a sports bar with loads of big screens for sport. It is a place for rexing drinks and flavoursome food. It has a great layout with very comfortable seating arrangements inside, and a sun terrece with super sea views outside. This bar is famous for its cocktails and tapas, however we opted for a bottle of Cava which didn't disappoint. We ate from the tapas menu, with the tapas of the day, a sirloin steak, cooked to perfection. We loved this bar/ restaurant and really can't recommend it enough. Olivers has a well-earned reputation, and it was one of the highlights...

A fine tapas style restaurant with some really tasty dishes. But what sets this place apart is the extra step the staff will take. Sadly we experienced a lot of average customer service in fuerteventura , but not Oliver fly. There was a young woman on another table, and the night wind was very chilly. The staff member without prompting took a blanket from behind the bar to wrap her. I spotted this and asked for one for my wife. People are often surprised by the cooler temperature at night. This impressed me the most, a small gesture. What can you say about tapas, beside you generally order too much. We had to leave food as we ordered with our eyes. But regretted the over eating, and yet all of the dishes were great. The calamari bites was my favorite, tender with a light fluffy crisp. My wife loves the thin fried chicken. Personally I though it was just on the dry side, but this is easy due to the thinness. My worthy mention was the lasagna, soft and melt in the mouth...

Truly amazing! Out of all the restaurants I've been to on the island, OliverFly was by far the best. Not only was the food absolutely superb (my mother and father decided to go for the tapas which they told me was delicious) but the cheeseburger I decided to get was absolutely fantastic too. The chips were just amazing, perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. The burger was cooked exactly how I asked it to be cooked and it was so very fresh. Furthermore, the service was amazing, our waiters kind and even humourous! Especially for tourists from the UK, they speak English very very well so you know there will be no misunderstandings and the music was just fantastic! I cannot reccomend this...
