During my stay in Fuerteventura, I discovered a small but fascinating historical monument — a coastal watchtower built by the first Spanish settlers nearly 300 years ago. Originally constructed as a defense against pirate attacks, this stone tower is one of the few remaining historical landmarks on the island. Interestingly, it was located right within the holiday resort where I was staying, which made stumbling upon it even more special.
