Port Olímpic — Attraction in Barcelona

Was staying at hotel H10 in area..good area no problems encountered walking in area either during the day or evening. Hotel decorated very well. Very clean and inviting..reception staff very attentive. Excellent english and couple of them taught me some spanish. Rooms spacious..well furnished..very comfortable large bed..much bigger than King Size and quite lengthly..as Im 6ft..was much appreciated. Large bathroom with bath... overhead shower..screen ....toilet and bidet. Room cleaners thorough and very pleasant. Breakfast had wonderful selection of choices..basically anything you could think of and more..staff again wonderful...all staff acredit to the hotel. We were based on the 7th floor..rooftop pool on the 8th..although not a large pool..it was very clean..the decking around pool however needs some attention..raised screws in places..I cut my foot on one!! Great views from rooftop pool area towards beach area (although you cannot see the beach..its only a 15 minute stroll away). Pictures below views towards beach area. Come here by day and enjoy seaside walks and sunny Barcelona as it's portrayed in your brochures, if somewhat massified due to the thousands of people that had the same idea than you. But the port and its surrounding beaches are spacious enough and enjoyable.

Come here by night and get stabbed inside one of the extremely low-class bars and clubs that infect the area, when you inadvertently get trapped in a fight between local and foreign gangs trying to get more territory to sell their drugs to drunken tourists. Seriously don't come here at night. Oh and if you come the least you could do is pick up the cans and bottles of beers and the puke from the ground or the sand after you're done vomiting please.

Visited a few times and found to be busy. The restaurant's we visited served good but not outstanding found. The staff were all friendly and price was as you'd expect for good food. The chicken bar was probably our favourite not so much for the food but the atmosphere and service for drinks in the harbour facing chill area. Staff were very accommodating quick to serve and helpful. We even got them to make us loaded skins that wasn't even on the menu. Overall were rate the area 7 out of 10.
