Beautiful beach with very clean sand and warm water. There are sunbeds available to hire at €15 euros per bed and per brolly, which is quite pricey at €45 per day for two people but attentive staff running them. Lots of people and locals, very busy but a good vibe.
Some lovely beach bars along the front - quite posh so wear suitable clothing and shoes.
It would be good if there were cheaper options too for buying snacks, crisps etc.
A little water and ice cream stand was a welcomed addition on the promenade.
Only downside is the amount of sellers trying to get your attention which is illegal on the beach. Selling drinks, henna, massages etc. constantly shouting "mojito, water, beer" etc and coming up to your bed asking if you want a massage. The only way to really stop them is completely ignore them (which is not in my nature but you have to) any engagement and they try and start a conversation with you. The police do patrol the beach, but there is always a look out and then hide amongst the beds and hide their stuff in the sand so it doesn't get confiscated. They're just a little annoying especially as it's not wanted/needed when you're...
Read moreThe beach is nicely taken care of because there is no garbage in the water or in the sand, I assume it would be really gorgeous without so many people being close to the port and the city. Even so, you can enjoy the sun and water, just do not bring anything valuable with you. There are so many pickpocketers and if you leave anything unattended, it will get taken. If you want to swim bring only a towel and your clothes :) Also, there are a lot of sellers so be prepared because they offer you things to buy every few minutes. Overall, a great place to go if you want to refresh after a walk in the city or if you want a quick swim in the heat without having to go too far. I recommend the beaches a little further...
Read moreI've been to better beaches. It's Rocky. Honestly, you can't take 2 min peace, literally everyone in the water is watching his belongings (because of pickpockets) There are scammers who offer to rent an umbrella (which is illegal) and those who offer mojitos, sangria and water (which is also illegal because in both cases they take the money and you don't get a receipt). in addition, there is a police patrol, which confiscates rented umbrellas (if they become direct witnesses of the "rental" and payment), but does not say a word to the fraudsters, who are the...
