Palmanova Beach — Attraction in Calvià

We also went here as our last stop on a busy cruise itinerary. After enduring many hot days usually in the 90s, we just wanted to relax on a nice beach. Initially were headed to Cala Major but was emphatically dissuaded by this very nice lady taxi driver stating the water is dirty and there is no chairs to rent(altho I had read there was). Wish I would have seen it at least but this ended up very nice. Expansive beach with two large sides of lounge chairs - plenty - if I had to guess, perhaps at least 200 chairs on each side. There was also a large area of sand away from the water between the two chair sides where kids where throwing things around or kicking soccer balls. Umbrella and two chairs were 13-14 euros. Had a public restroom(1 euro, of course). Water refreshing and clean. Wish I had brought goggles. Wish they rented snorkel gear(at least I didn't see that). Palmanova beach is in general clean. The water is sometimes super clear on some days, but sometimes muddy. I do not know on what it depends. Maybe it needs sunshine to have the super clear effect. It is flat at the beginning so good for children. Also you can see fishes in the water. Sometimes large fishes. We have not rented the sunbeds but I have heard they are quite expensive (about 20€ for two sunbeds with umbrella and locker). There are free outdoor showers to wash your body or the sands from your feet. Toilets I do not know, since our hotel was near the beach.
