While staying in ferteventura in correlojo we took the local bus across to the west coast to Castillo. This is a very quiet part of the island wirh a small harbour, a large expanse of beach. It can be very windy with a big surf that is great for the surfers. Read moreCastillo del Toston is a very popular tourist destination. Just on the edge of the town with white sand beaches. Fhishing and surfing are possible. Just Beautiful. Rough dirt road brings you to several stops by the coast. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. It is also a place to see a skeleton of a water animal found by archeologists. Then rebuilt in XVII century. It was a characteristic small watch/defence tower against pirates. I suggest an afternoon visit. It can be crowded in the morning because organized trips arrive there.
