The first thing that caught our eye upon entering Santa Ana del Cotillo was the shining floor—a small but telling detail that reflects the impeccable care given to the entire place. It’s clear that this restaurant isn’t just maintained; it’s cherished.

Next, we were greeted by a warm and tender hostess, setting the tone for a genuinely welcoming experience. There’s no rush, no stress—just a sense of authentic hospitality.

The menu is short, but in the best way possible. It covers everything you might want without overwhelming you with choices. We opted for squid and goat, and both dishes were exactly as they should be—prepared with skill, respect for tradition, and high-quality ingredients.

But what truly sets Santa Ana del Cotillo apart is the passion behind it. This is not a place chasing profits; it’s run by people who love what they do. It’s only open for three hours a day, five days a week, and they don’t try to squeeze in as many guests as possible. Instead, they focus on quality over quantity, ensuring that every visitor gets the best experience.

It’s by reservation only, so don’t forget to book in advance! With its limited hours and high demand, securing a table is a must. If you’re looking for a place where food, atmosphere, and heart come together, Santa Ana del Cotillo is an...

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this gem of a restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the staff's friendliness and warmth made us feel so welcome. They seemed genuinely proud of their Canary cuisine and were eager to share their passion for it, which was truly delightful.

The food was nothing short of excellent—high-quality ingredients prepared to perfection. Every dish felt like a celebration of flavor, and you could tell a lot of care went into crafting each plate.

What stood out most was how well we were treated as customers. It felt like dining in a 5-star hotel restaurant, with attentive service that made the evening extra special. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the exceptional quality of the food and the overall experience—it’s worth every penny.

¡Increíble!

Without a doubt the best food I had in El Cotillo after a week's stay, and honestly one of the best meals I've ever had. I am huge on tasty, authentic food that does not over-engineer dishes and uses fresh flavours, and santa ana del Cotillo gives all of this to an exceptional level. I tend to see smaller menus as a sign of real quality and thought in a restaurant, and this is the case here. We ordered the cheese as starter, and prawns and squid for main, and it was faultless. The grilled squid was especially a delight. The setting is quaint and delightful, the lady and gentleman running the place were absolutely lovely (even before I arrived, we talked via Google maps so I could arrange a reservation), the wine very good too.

If you visit El Cotillo you must reserve a table at this place. I am sad that I am flying tomorrow, as it means I can't go back and try some of the delicious-sounding goat...

As pretty much a lot of people now do googled for good places to eat and found this one. Whilst there is no sea view it is literally a few steps back from the sea. We sat outside and were the first for lunch. The lady and gentleman greeted us in very broken English but were really nice. The menu is not massive but covers meat and fish but not alot for veggies. But the salad was very good and very fresh. I had the calamari or baby cuttlefish and they were excellent. The soup was mushroom and cream with potatoes obviously homemade and delicious with fresh bread. Nice cold beer just the lunch we wanted.

Don't come here if you are expecting rubbish, unpleasant meal. This restaurant is just DIVINE, simple on presentation but extravagant on the taste. The atmosphere is quiet because it's tucked away from the busy road. You will taste the real Spanish delicious food. Our favourite wine is the Yaiza. 👌. The tuna was a no-fuss dish that melted in the mouth. The baby squid was brilliant. The chef and Ana were warm and welcoming. Do book ahead not to get disappointed and remember to pay in cash. There is a cash machine by the high street that doesn't charge if you are with Visa, MC. Check it out.
