With the place not being busy, the owner (we didn't exchange names) reached out for a friendly, relaxed chat. As I asked about the noticeable prevalence of Italians in the island (including the owner), he commented that there've been sustained immigration waves of Italians in recent years, which he couldn't quite explain. He did however remark that it was too strong an influx, with "especially Romans being the ones coming with bad intentions" (verbatim).
