Cecilio Rodríguez Garden — Attraction in Madrid

Amazing peacock garden inside the Retiro Park, I didn't have a chance to explore all the corners of Retiro, but as much as I saw I found this Garden to be one the best spots. It's quite and wasn't crowed at time when I was there. Lush greenery in various shapes, gazebos, fountains, strolling paths, and of course freely walking peackoks! I caught it at the time of cherry blossom and it's fantastic place for lovely selfies) If you're not in rush find a cozy lawn and just watch peackoks peacfully...

This garden is inside of El Retiro which is wonderful in and of itself. The reason people come to the Garden is to visit...the peacocks! There are a large number of them walking around (we counted about a dozen) in the large area in the middle. They are quite calm, but that may be because the people in the Garden were very respectful of them. We sat on a bench and watched them walk by. A beautiful and calm park with lovely landscaping and free-roaming peacocks. While they’re stunning to see, be careful—they can get aggressive, especially if provoked. I saw kids trying to make them open their feathers, not realizing it can upset them. There was no staff around to supervise the animals, which felt a bit unsafe. Still, it’s a very pretty and peaceful spot worth visiting—just watch your step...
