Very disappointing experience. A wet and windy day in Madrid is a great opportunity for places like this to gain interest and share information to the many visitors.
Firstly, make it clear to the many visitors queuing outside which Queue is for “Free general admission” and which is for ticket holders for the exhibitions.
When we entered we felt secure because of the bag checks and very happy with the free bag storage which enabled us to put our many things in our own lockers.
Ok so let’s start with the observation deck on floor 8! … closed
Cocktail bar/ restaurant on floor 7?… closed
How about floor 6 then , an exhibition on dance through the ages… ok a collection of photos, some old radio cassette players and videos of dance moves is not really that captivating especially when the headphones are not working on some of the exhibits. Floor 5 then, ah here we go a display of signs and adverts of all shapes and sizes, from napkins to plastic bags, paper to wrap food to neon lights, a real meander through time! Floor 3 closed Floor 2 cafe ( nothing there just a sign) and souvenir shop… selling Madrid caps umbrellas , golf balls and phone chargers at inflated prices… Oh then on floor 1 was the Monet exhibition.

Read moreMy visit to Centro Centro in Madrid was an absolute delight! This cultural hub nestled in the heart of the city truly exceeded my expectations. The stunning architecture of the building itself, located within the beautiful Palacio de Cibeles, sets the stage for an enriching experience.
The exhibitions and cultural events hosted here are not only diverse but also thought-provoking. Whether it's contemporary art, historical retrospectives, or cultural festivals, Centro Centro consistently offers a wide array of engaging experiences for visitors of all interests.
What truly stood out was the breathtaking view from the rooftop terrace. It provides an unparalleled panorama of Madrid's iconic landmarks, making it an ideal spot for taking in the city's beauty. The cafe on the terrace is a fantastic place to enjoy a coffee while soaking in the view.

I was visiting Madrid and came to visit an exhibit about Gaudi (that was 14 euro) but was pleased to find that all four floors of the building and some sort of interesting exhibit about art, culture, and the history of Madrid.
PRO TIP: building has wonderful views of the surrounding city. You can pay to visit the observation deck on the roof or you can just sneak a photo out a window on one of the upper floors.
I visited on a holiday but there are also some government service and post office inside. If you are just visiting, it is worth wandering into this building to see what is going on. There is even a (free) cowering space on the...
