We stayed there some nights ago (2ppl). It rained, so they called us (in all fairness) to tell us that the booking would have been inside. We did not feel it right to cancel just because of that, so we decided to go anyway. The spot is however famous for the garden, probably almost only for the garden.
We were sat first in a table that was basically just a service table close to the bar. We asked to change to a proper table close to the windows and we were said that it was impossible (but the place was half empty still, as it was early). We were sat in another table in a back relatively small room, dimly lit. Food was ok all in all, but I would not recommend any of it in particular. It was just ok. The waitresses did not seem to be that attentive all in all. Given that the atmosphere wasn't that nice (or romantic) we did not order much and decided to leave relatively soon. After more or less one hour the table we has asked to sit at was, of course, still empty.
Apparently the place has an amazing garden. After our dinner I'd be inclined to think there isn't really much more than that to...
Read moreSomething to take out of my recommendation list! I’ve been wanting to have dinner at their terrace for quite a long time, I finally got my reservation and was eager to go… unfortunately that eagerness was taken out by the constant reminder that we had a time limit for our table from the head waitress, the staff that gathered besides our table to talk about when each table needed to go, the person on the phone, etc. one thing is to know that they have two dinner slots and another is to be constantly reminded of it to the point of not being able to enjoy a nice quite evening with my husband with no kids (doesn’t normally happens). As for the food, my expectations were not high but better than what we had.. tequeños are really nice and the quesadilla de huitlacoche nice other that they serve them with flour tortillas heated on the microwave, they seemed like the ones from Mercadona, not something that I expected there. The terrace is great! Lovely, our waiter was really nice but the experience ruined by the pressure to leave, even if we were completely on time and had ask for our check all...
Read moreRaimunda is a real gem nestled in the lush garden of the Casa de América, an elegant escape right by the Palace of Linares. The ambiance is calm, leafy, and effortlessly chic—perfect for escaping city noise and enjoying a relaxed meal outdoors.
The cuisine blends Mediterranean roots with vibrant Ibero-American touches. We shared a few small dishes—chewy, golden patatas hojaldadas con salsa, fresh ceviche de corvina con mango, and rich lasagna de rabo de toro—each plate was beautifully presented with well-balanced flavors and quality ingredients. Cocktails were a highlight too, inventive and well-crafted.
Service was attentive and warm, adding to the relaxed yet refined mood of the evening. Though the restaurant’s popularity means it can get busy, the pace never feels rushed—even when the garden fills with diners.
All in all, Raimunda offers a memorable mix of polished atmosphere, creative food, and oasis-like surroundings. It’s a beautiful choice for a special dinner or a leisurely meal with friends in...
