Hi there,

I want to start by saying that I have no issues with IKEA itself—everything from ordering to customer service has been great. However, my main concern is with the third-party courier service you’ve chosen to partner with: SEUR. SEUR has been a significant problem for many customers who rely on them for deliveries. They often fail to make any real attempt to deliver or locate the customer's address. They don't contact the recipient, no calls, updates, even an ounce of effort to try to make arrangements to deliver the items. It’s very clear they put little to no effort into completing deliveries.

I've read numerous complaints on Reddit, Twitter, facebook and now here about SEUR, and the situation is only made worse by the fact that they have no customer service. Their website is equally problematic—it doesn’t function properly. For example, I live in Benidorm, but when I try to pick up my item from a SEUR location here, the website redirects me to Alicante pick up point, which makes no sense, especially since I paid for delivery fee!

Additionally, I tried using the redelivery option to change the delivery date, but the option is greyed out and not usable.

This whole experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I strongly urge you to consider changing your courier service. Please choose a delivery partner with a functional website and reliable customer service that customers can actually contact.

Normally very pleased with Ikea. But this Ikea is not even worthy of a star in terms of service. Stayed at home in our appartment in Alicante last Saturday due to a delivery between 6 pm and 10 pm. A few minutes after 6 pm we received an email informing us that our delivery had been suspended because we would not be home. We sat on our balcony and did not see a car from Ikea. Admittedly our apartment is very difficult to find and delivery people always call us. Immediately contracted with customer service and had contact with employee Henry. This also took a very long time. He indicated that the delivery person had tried to call us several times, which was not the case. We were informed that the delivery costs were charged. When we asked for proof in the form of a "print screen of the call history of the delivery person", this was not answered. Only that we had to pay. Stayed calm for a long time but eventually disappointed and angrily hung up. Tried to call back and hung up several times. When we called with another number we got to speak to Henry again. But again no solution was found. All in all, this all took a very long time and we have no furniture and are being charged for something that we can't do anything about. I think Ikea should have accommodated us. In any case, we canceled our order because our delivery could not be delivered until a week later. But that's not possible because we're flying back home to the Netherlands...

Beware when buying furniture that you are expected to check every product and report immediately any damage within 7 days or the Ikea policy is not to exchange. Pointless buying a kitchen then with over 150 odd packs as you don’t know what you need until you work your way through and would otherwise keep the delivery driver sat waiting while you open and check the inside of every part. Some of the damage can’t be seen until you pull back the blue plastic protective film. Delivery is exacerbated when the delivery is wrong with missing base units which without which you can’t start and also split deliveries as some come from different locations and others are not in stock. Customer service is appalling and I was lied to and given an internal IKEA suggestion / complaint form instead of the official complaint form that is recorded by the town hall. Then have to argue with the staff who insisted they are the same. Policy breeches EU law on faulty goods and return timeframes but all I’m told is it’s IKEA policy. Abuse of customers trust and rights. Disgusting would not recommend shopping at ikea to my worst enemy and I’m left with an incomplete kitchen.

On 3 July 2024 a person from customer support called us in the evening and asked for photos to be emailed to customer support which we did. We were assured it would be resolved but it has not. Then on 4 July 2024, 2 people with a work order from Ikea arrived to take away the damaged cushion but did not bring a replacement and now we are left with only one cushion to sit on. On 8 July 2024, someone arrived from Ikea with a cushion cover not the pad we need, so yet again we called Ikea customer service to see what is going on and was told another 7 days before it could be resolved! We have a sofa with only one cushion to sit on and the ineptitude of the customer service staff to resolve our issue satisfactorily is astonishing. We have emailed Ikea Spain and Business Murcia and will go to the actual store tomorrow in the hope this can be sorted out for us. Absolutely shocking aftercare service from Ikea!

Me da dolor poner esta reseña porque me encanta IKEA, vengo casi todas las semanas, pero la forma en que me han tratado a mí y a bastantes más clientes el día 05/08/25 en el área de atención al cliente ha sido bastante desconsiderada y no alineada con los valores de Ikea. Yo tarde casi 2 horas y no había tantos clientes, pero ese no es el problema mayor. Tenía que devolver 2 productos nuevos en sus cajas y una sustitución de un mueble de mercado circular de 3 bultos nuevos - con un mínimo roce en la pieza del 3er bulto y que no impedía su construcción o afectaba su estética porque quedaba por debajo y por detrás. Al abrir el 1er bulto, descubrí que tenía un defecto de fabricación que no permitía su armado, una pieza que venía ya armada y a la que ni se le colocó un tornillo. Así que cuando descubrí el daño oculto, llame a explicar la situación y me dijeron que me remplazaban o la pieza o el mueble- lo que quisiera y que también podía llevar las cajas y cuadrar la recogida en tienda de la pieza o del mueble por qué era un defecto de fábrica. Llevo las 3 cajas en perfecto estado, tal como las recibí y la única caja abierta la llevé también perfectamente armada tal como vino. Paqui fue la primera que me atendió y que recomiendo que pongan en otra área de la tienda porque va con demasiada calma en una zona que siempre tiene demasiada gente esperando (y en mi opinión necesita gente más dinámica,) pues directamente se quería ir a su casa y me dio mil excusas para no hacer lo que ya estaba acordado por teléfono (esto lo sé porque se quejó de que siempre sale tarde.) Visto que pasa el tiempo y yo también me tengo que ir… ya hemos superado la hora en el área de atención al cliente desde sacar el ticket. Le digo que llame al supervisor Sergey a que revise el mismo para que vea que hay un daño y por el que estoy aquí solicitando el cambio de pieza o de mueble lo que les fuera mejor- a mi me daba absolutamente igual si la pieza del bulto 3 me la quedaba porque no se iba a ver. Pues este hombre insinúa que he sido yo la que ha dañado el mueble cuando no ha sido así, ya que esa pieza venía armada y ni un solo tornillo le puse. Entre más mil excusas que me da, una de ellas era que tenía 7 días para devolver (y justo detrás de él se lee escrito en la pared “tiene 365 días para cambiar de opinión”) luego alega que viene de mercado circular y que no tiene las mismas condiciones, le pedí que me mostrara donde salía eso porque claramente en la web dice que los productos de mercado circular tienen las mis garantías ofrecidas por Ikea. Quiero mi mueble en buen estado por el que pagué- aún si tiene un pequeño roce en una pieza, el mismo que tuve que cargar 2 veces, 3 bultos de 20 kg, quiero que me ofrezcan unas disculpas escritas de esa persona que insinuó cosas que no eran y quiero que honren lo acordado en la primera llamada y me resuelvan el problema que me crearon ustedes y por el que yo no soy responsable. Yo no tengo porque buscar otro mueble o pagar más y extra envío cuando ese es el que me falta para ya terminar de decorar el cuarto. Tienen que honrar su palabra, arreglar o darme mi mueble por el precio que pagué y sobretodo tratar bien a los clientes- que nuestras visitas diarias son las que permiten que las puertas sigan abiertas.
