If you need a quiet place to relax without many people it is nice to be there. As you are at Tenerife the is usually a beach with black lava stones. So you have to be careful of the sun and it would help to get you some bathing shoes from the shop above. Families with little children should be especially aware of this. If you take a few minutes to walk there are much nicer places to lie down and rest than in the beginning of the beach. There is not a great sand beach, but between sand, grit, and stones there is a couple of areas that are very pleasant to swim from.
