If you need a quiet place to relax without many people it is nice to be there. As you are at Tenerife the is usually a beach with black lava stones. So you have to be careful of the sun and it would help to get you some bathing shoes from the shop above. Families with little children should be especially aware of this. If you take a few minutes to walk there are much nicer places to lie down and rest than in the beginning of the beach. Oh, what a pity, they have started to convert the beautiful beach right next to the San Miguel Marina, Golf del Sur, Tenerife into an even more beautiful stretch of beach. This costal area of Golf del Sur is lovely, you can walk along a well laid foot path or walk in certain areas without clambering over rocks to the sea. There is not a great sand beach, but between sand, grit, and stones there is a couple of areas that are very pleasant to swim from.
