Bar Restaurant. ATLANTICO DEL SUR — Restaurant in San Miguel de Abona

We tried this place because it seemed to be fairly busy, so we assumed it was because it was THE place to be! Sadly we were wrong! The lady serving us was really friendly and helpful, but unfortunately got one of the orders wrong; my dad specifically said NO cheese in his omelette and it came full of cheese. The Paella was nice albeit too much salt added (we found this across many of the places we visited though, so that might be a Spanish thing). My mum requested a half bottle of champagne sangria and they served and tried to charge for a full one - my mum requested and only drank half (thinking the jug they presented was quite big!) so this had to be amended on the bill. We did mention the omelette and she said she would have another made but by then my dad was put off, so she took that off the bill too. We also requested extra drinks that were never served to is that they tried to charge us for “I took your order to the bar, didn’t she bring them out?” Nope - another bill amendment! Sadly it seemed they were only interested in getting more and more customers in, rather than providing an excellent service that would make you want to return - I suspect everyone was a one...

Past here on a night that was full so thought to give it a try , big mistake absolutely terrible, I had seafood for one which was all frozen food and very poor, handful of chips which came with a limp salad , my partner had the the lamb chops but was only offered at well done 🤷‍♂️ so with an option of only well done says left overs and can only be reheated . We should have thought then when she said can only get well done . These both meals were penny’s shy of £19 each . We were both very hungry as we had not eaten all day so this never helped on picking food . My partner had tomato soup for starters she said was just warm but nice and asked for bread as did not come with bread which is a first , yes bread came when she had finished the soup .I would not recommend this place to anyone as so there is a few restaurants together and this one has been the worst ever. Everyone makes there own mind up and choices I am only trying you to make a you aware this is better...

The only good thing I can say about this restaurant is the chicken skewer starter tasted good (not great) and it was an acceptable portion.

Aside from that the service was terribly slow. We asked for a high chair on arrival and had to remind the waiter after 5 minutes of waiting before we were given one.

It then took a further 10 minutes or so before our drinks and food order was taken. The waiting time only got longer when waiting for our starter and between courses.

I had what was described as a sirloin steak for my main course. It wasn't a sirloin cut and it wasn't cooked rare as I asked it to be (It was cremated) It was without a doubt the worst steak I have ever eaten and it tasted like it had been cooked in sea water. It was so unbelievably salty. No restaurant should serve such utter garbage.

I couldn't wait to leave and I won't be returning. It was the worst meal I've had in 4 years of...
