The worst Paella I’ve ever eaten. So salty it was ridiculous. I’m annoyed with myself that I didn’t complain on the spot & send it back. The fish was chewy, the tomatoes uncooked. It really was so poor. It seemed like it was microwaved cooked. And was the rice even paella rice!?
The pill pill gambas starter I had was poor as well. They were frozen prawns. Not fresh at all. And I was charged nearly €10 for that starter!??
On the plus side, the sangria was very good. They have made a good effort of making the restaurant look nice with good lighting & plants.
You can’t judge a book by its cover, but the sauces in packets, the cheap plastic chairs and tables and the paper napkin were all a giveaway that all wouldn’t be right in my experience. Sadly, I was proven right. Such a waste of good money. I really should have gone back to the Japanese restaurant a few yards across. Now they do know how to cook.
P.S. I’m bewildered by the good reviews that this place has received!? You only have to look at the photos to see the uncooked tomatoes & onions and the like to see that the food is not of a very good standard. You don’t serve uncooked tomatoes & onions with...
Read moreJust sat down to enjoy a meal at Vagabundo with my family, reserved ahead of time and arrived to a lovely laid table, with a high chair as requested for my little one!
Service was outstanding, very friendly and comforting staff, great discussion in-between drink and food order and humourous.
I myself had an ocean breeze cocktail, for €6.00, very tasty and not over powering, just the right amount of everything.
Ordered the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin and oh my god, what a delicious dish, served with mash and peppercorn sauce, bursting with flavour and beautifully cooked, the real star of the show here is the quality of the food. Our entire table was extremely happy with their food, coleslaw that tastes heavenly, fillet steak perfectly cooked, chicken burger and chips? Outstanding!
If you visit south Tenerife, you 100% MUST visit Vagabundo, prices are excellent, but what's even more excellent is the flavour and quality of their food. Bloody fantastic and look forward to...
Read more4 of us ate here after seeing it on Facebook. So glad we did! Jordan the waiter was brilliant..he looked after us all very well. He was well clued up on the menu and explained the dishes very well. We picked 3 starters which were brilliant. Goose pate was like a meal on its own the smokey prawns were so tasty and the bruchetta was perfect. Our mains were rolled pork tenderloin..cod and chips..house stew (delicious) and chicken kebab Greek style. The portions were a perfect size and full of flavour. We even managed to try the desserts, the white chocolate mousse was perfect. 3 starters 4 mains 3 desserts 4 coffees 1 bottle of wine 2 bottles of sin beer 1 coke 1 water and the bill was £122 euro. A brilliant find and relaxed evening. I have already picked out my next meal as taking friends there this week. Good variety on the menu. You have to try this place. The owners have got it right I'd say. Great night had by all and looking forward to...
