Lavabeach Restaurant — Restaurant in San Miguel de Abona

We left our hotel in the early evening with the intention of having a stroll along the costal path and hopefully finding somewhere to eat. We came upon a group of restaurants that looked promising and chose the Lavabeech restaurant having read their extensive menu and being attracted by the number of patrons there. They were obviously enjoying themselves as the atmosphere was cascading from inside onto the path outside. From the first moment the service was superb. Being shown to our table and the menu being explained to any questions being answered. We chose from the 'Specials' menu and when the food arrived it was first class. Both the starter and main course were delicious and a pleasure to eat. The owner was very pleasant and the conversation cordial and informative. Lovely, small, restaurant on the seafront.

I've eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here and it's all been very very good.

If you go during the day - make sure you adhere to the stringent cooking hours

All breakfast items must be ordered before midday, sandwiches etc can not be ordered until after midday and lunchtime specials aren't served until after 1pm.

All a bit regimented for such a lovely cafe. We arrived at 11:45 and we couldn't have a chicken unless we waited until 12. However - I wanted breakfast (which wouldn't have been available if we had waited for the chicken roll).

Food in the evening is very good but you will need to book as it's popular.

Certainly not a cheap place to eat - but the food quality and presentation make it worth paying the extra few euros.

Although my photos don't show it because we were the last to leave when I took them and the place was empty, this is a very popular place and bookings in advance are highly recommended. Super friendly and efficient service. The evening menu is not extensive but what is offered is all freshly prepared and nicely presented. Very reasonably priced. Excellent selection of desserts. Nice touch that everyone is offered a drink on the house when presented with the bill - coffee, liquoir, a glass of wine, no restriction.
