Amarilla was truly a special place. It wasn’t just about the direct access to the golf course – although having a golf cart ready every day to take you straight to the club was amazing – but the experience began the moment we entered the complex. Everything was spotless, the reception staff were kind and welcoming, check-in was quick, and we were personally shown everything in the apartment.

It’s clear that this resort was designed with attention to the smallest details. Every element felt carefully thought through – two steps ahead, which is something you don’t always see these days. From the design and cleanliness to the service and golf experience, everything was absolutely flawless.

I’ve honestly never seen such a dedicated team of staff, constantly taking care of every little detail – whether it was wiping away dust or fixing small issues immediately. The pool was beautiful, always clean, and there was a quiet, helpful lifeguard available daily, greeting guests with a warm smile and helping with sunbeds or umbrellas.

Evenings at the on-site bistro were an absolute delight. We had an incredibly good burger one night – the staff were professional and well-trained, the interior design was stunning. And in the morning, this same bistro serves breakfast, which I highly recommend including in your booking. Water, coffee, juice, and tea are all included, and the food is served in a clever pre-prepared à la carte style – but here’s the best part: it’s actually all-you-can-eat. You can try everything, and it’s all freshly made and beautifully presented. It was the perfect way to start the day. Every morning was a treat, with fresh-cut fruit and genuinely kind service.

You can really tell that Amarilla puts great effort into hiring and training their staff. It feels like the whole place is led by someone with deep experience in hospitality and gastronomy – and it shows in every detail.

Outside, the bar offers stunning sunset views. The rooms have excellent soundproofing – despite being just 15 minutes from the airport, we didn’t hear a single plane. Zero noise, just peace and relaxation.

What also makes Amarilla special is its strategic location. If you’re craving a livelier vibe, the popular Costa Adeje area is only 15 minutes away by taxi – perfect for an evening stroll through vibrant streets full of restaurants, bars, and nightlife.

That said, I definitely recommend renting a car if you plan to explore – which I absolutely encourage. Tenerife is so much more than just golf (though the courses here are top-notch). There are beautiful beaches, incredible natural parks, and charming hidden spots all across the island. Amarilla is a fantastic base for discovering it all – whether you’re heading to Mount Teide, Los Gigantes, or the greener northern coast.

A Nightmare Experience: Last-Minute Cancellation and Unreachable Customer service .I recently had the unfortunate experience of booking a stay at Amarilla Gold Residences and was left utterly disappointed and frustrated with the level of service I received. My anticipation for a relaxing stay turned into a nightmare when the hotel abruptly canceled my reservation at the last minute, leaving me stranded without any accommodation .No prior notice or explanation was provided, leaving me scrambling to find alternative accommodations. To make matters worse, when I attempted to contact the hotel's customer service for assistance, my calls went unanswered, and my emails seemed to fall into a void of indifference.

The lack of communication and support during this stressful situation was appalling. A hotel's commitment to customer service is paramount, and unfortunately, Amarilla Golf Residences failed miserably in this regard. A hotel that cancels reservations without explanation or assistance, especially on short notice, demonstrates a lack of professionalism and a disregard for the inconvenience caused to its guests. What added to my frustration was the complete unavailability of the hotel's customer service. Despite numerous attempts to reach them via phone and email, there was no response. A reliable and responsive customer service team is crucial for resolving issues and ensuring a positive experience, but in this case, it was sorely lacking.

I understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, leading to the need for cancellations, but a reputable establishment should have contingency plans and a customer-focused approach to handle such situations. Regrettably, Amarilla Golf Residences failed to meet even the most basic expectations in this regardIn conclusion. My experience with Amarilla golf Residences was nothing short of a disaster. What a fantastic gem in Golf Sur. The hotel is pretty new and you can see it, with the entrance smelling good every day.

Talking about the hotel we can highlight some pros like the new pool with a lot of sun beds (and no risk for classic “race” in the morning), nice pool’s bar where to enjoy the free welcome drink. You have a card for a beach towel so no need to bring yours. The gym is present and very well equipped. The room is new, like a modern house, with the bathroom equipped with floor to ceiling showers and a separate room with just the WC ( not ideal for me but the solution works pretty good). In the room you can find a fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine, oven, stoves and dishes. To complete the room a 50inches TV with internet, a lovely terrace with 2 sun beds and outdoor table.

You can see that is a 5 stars hotel from things such as: Reception does a really really good job accommodating your requests (massage in the room, late checkout, booking of excursions etc..) Cleaning staff will run the washing machine for you and replacing amenities every day The check in desk will show you the room and carry your bags during the check in process. there is a golf cart available to guests for free if you feel like going for a golf run at the nearby golf course.

Talking about the restaurant some improvement is needed. Breakfast wise everything works perfectly, you can enjoy the buffet and some extra meals (like omelets or all the versions of the eggs) made just for you at the moment. Dinner wise the options for the half board were pretty limited, with the extra dishes that come at and additional prices (2-10€ roughly), the service was kind of slow but if you take it with the holiday spirit then is doable. And for the future just bare in mind to include more options as “gluten free” (:
