This place straight up scammed me. I was starving and wandering around toledo and the guy who owned the place called me in for a plate of ham and cheese for what he said would be 8 euro -fine. I go and eat some stale bread with a tiny portion of bread, cheese, and iberian ham then when i go to pay he charges me 22 euro for it. I tell him no you said 8 euro. He starts ranting and raving about the high quality of the garbage food he just fed me and will not let me leave without paying him the full 22 euros. At this point I'm fuming but don't really have much of a choice but to pay the guy. Im in a foreign country speaking in my second language. So, I at least promised myself that i would review the place to warn anyone smarter than myself away from this scam trap of a restaurant. Also the food sucked so there's that.

Five of us were delighted with the food at Café del Kasco today! I am visiting my brother and a friend in Spain, and we went to the beautiful Toledo on a busy day prior Easter. With no expectations, we decided to have lunch at Café del Kasco and we were marveled with the attention of the owners, specially, Ms. Sarai who kindly posed with us in the picture. We had El Señorito paella, fried bacalao, patatas bravas (spicy potatoes), lacón (a type of ham), potaje de vigilia (chickpea soup), including cheesecake and torrija for desert. Everything was delicious, yet my favorite was the paella and the torrija. We also enjoyed a rich orujo after lunch. The attention was exceptional and the location was superb. Highly recommended!

Would be back if we were staying longer in Toledo! Full points for both food and service ! 👍🏻 We were famished after cathedral visit and were around peak period where every place is busy. Was ushered in by (i think) the chef who recommended a cod and bean stew. And it turned out to be a good choice! Stew was bursting with cod flavour and the stew was yummy as it tasted herb based. The chef and his staff were very friendly and humourous too! 🤭 Oh and the complimentary olives were good too being marinated in a yummy sauce 🤤

The owner is very nice and friendly. He was a pleasure to talk to, but unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the food. The absolute worst soup I have ever eaten, with pasta that in my opinion has been cooked in the broth for days. The children decided to eat spaghetti carbonara and bolognese, the grown ups had steak and a traditional Spanish dish. 5 hours later- three of the kids ended up with food poisoning and one case was so bad we ended up in the Madrid emergency room. Informed the owner the day after, he promised to call back and check the kids condition but nothing happened. Very...
